Vendor Reviews (better late than never!)

My wedding was September 18, 2010.  Everything was wonderful and I worked with many great vendors.  Below is a brief recap.  If you need any more info feel free to contact me at my username @ gmail.com.  I used the knot for a lot of info and research so I thought I could pass along my experiences since so many others helped me…

Ceremony/Reception:  Aulettos – A+.  Staff was wonderful, food was great, everything was perfect.  We were in the smaller room which overlooks the water.  Cocktail hour was great (it was a nice day so it was in the wine cellar and also outside).  We also had our ceremony over in the tent overlooking the lake.  A lot was included in our package (flowers, cake, etc.) which made it very easy.  Highly recommended.

Flowers:  Cook’s Florist – A.  Flowers at each table are included in the Auletto’s package.  I was able to meet with Cooks to go over what I was looking for and they provided the colors and flowers I wanted.  I also purchased my bouquet, bridesmaid flowers, etc. from them. Everything was delivered on time and beautifully.

Ceremony Music:  Lucia Marone, Harpist – A+.  She was recommended by Auletto’s.  Easy to work with and the music was beautiful.  I asked for a couple of special choices and she learned the music for every request I had for the ceremony.

Videographer:  Martins’s – A+.  Our videographer (I forget her name at the moment) arrived on time and was very professional.  Didn’t even know she was there (which is a good thing!!!).  We picked up the video right before Christmas and they did a great job.

Photographer:  David Humphreys – A+.  Dave is great to work with.  Very easygoing and really enjoys what he does.  A sample of pics from the day were posted to his Facebook page the very next day which was very nice!  Online proofs were posted within 2 weeks or so.  I received my proof album very quickly also.  I am a slacker and haven’t worked on my album yet but hope to soon.  I would highly recommend Dave.  You can see our pics on his website www.dhumphreys.com/">http://www.dhumphreys.com/ , just click on View Wedding Proofs and we are the 9/18/10 wedding.

Invitations:  Invitations by Joanne – A+.  Joanne is a sweetheart and I highly recommend her also.  Great to work with and very patient.  We received our online proofs and the final invitations very quickly.

Alterations:  Fashion Stitch – A+.  A knottie favorite, and I can see why.  They did wonders with my dress.  I bought a sample dress and it was a size too big.  I lost some weight and it was then 3 sizes too big!  She did an AMAZING job and was very reasonably priced.  I received so many compliments on my dress, everyone thought I had a custom made dress!

Hair/Makeup:  Hello Gorgeous, Turnersville – A+.  They did a wonderful job (Trish did my hair…I forget who did my makeup).  My hair and makeup stayed put the entire night.

Limo:  Alberts Limo – A.  I only hired a limo for pickup from my house to be dropped off to Aulettos, so I was in the limo for all of 15 minutes :)  They were ontime, clean and courteous.

DJ:  Steve and Company (DJ Chris D) – A+.  Chris did an awesome job.  We had people dancing the entire night.  Great choices in music to keep the crowd moving.  Played my must play’s as well.  I would definitely recommend Chris.

Honeymoon:  ITALY!  A++++++++++.  We spent 2 weeks in Italy (we stayed in Rome, Sorrento, Florence, Venice and Milan).  I did a lot of research and planned the whole trip without a travel agent or tour guide.  It was a lot of work but am so glad we went on our own and did it our way.  A once in a lifetime, magical trip.

That’s all I can think of!  Again, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.  I don’t really go on these boards anymore so email would be easiest.
