Places/Hotels in MD, DE or NJ where alcohol is allowed on the beach?

I know about some hotels in OC, MD but we would like this Bachelorette Party to be a little more low key. Any suggestions?

As far as I know alcohol is illegal on NJ all beaches. We have gotten tickets for this in the past.

  • I know of a few places that have a bar on the beach block and it overlooks the water, but as PP said, drinking alcohol on the beach is illegal.  The bars that I know of are the Windrift in Avalon and the Shell in LBI.
  • Strathmere is were most people I know go to drink openly, it's also one of the only free beaches. For those same reasons it's not the nicest beach ;)

I mean, we do it all the time in NJ. But we also pour our beers into solo cups, and keep all alcohol bottles hidden inside our coolers. I think the key is that if you don't drink openly and don't act like jerks, they will leave you be.

Edit: This is in Altantic City, NJ and Ventnor, NJ. Ventnor is a private beach (need tags), but I'm a resident.

  • Deauville Inn in Strathmere you can have beach parties. There is also a place in LBI called Ocean something. Can't remember exactly, that lets you have beach receptions.
