New Jersey - South

wedding dress shop recommendations...

Need your help!  I currently live in Virginia and will be coming up to the South Jersey area this coming weekend to go dress shopping with my mom.  While I am really excited to do this (first time shopping for dresses) I have no clue where to go in South Jersey.  Any recommendations?  I will be in the Marlton area and don't want to have to travel too far.  Looking for a shop that provides great customer service, offers a wide selection and offers dresses that won't cost me an arm and a leg! :)  Any suggestions?

I recommend Wedding Belles Boutique in Northfield, which is near Atlantic City (so far, I have had a great experience there). There is also Bridal Garden in Marlton, but I've heard mixed reviews on that shop.  There's Irma's in Cherry Hill, but also heard mixed reviews.  For more affordable dresses, there are also several David's Bridal locations:  Maple Shade, Deptford, and Mays Landing.

Yours Forever Bridal in Voorhees, NJ.  The owner Nancy is a sweetheart and the staff is so friendly and helpful.

I got my dress from Kay Bridal in Maple Shade.  They were VERY reasonably priced.  In fact, I found my dress at another salon and ordered from Kay's because they were more reasonably priced.  You should also look at the Bridal Suite in Cherry Hill.

Macy's Bridal Salon in the Cherry Hill Mall. And I also second Wedding Belles but it's about an hour from Marlton.

If you're short on time for the day I would not recommend Irma's unless you're going on a weekday as it's first come first serve and there is a long list that they call names off of. I was turned off by Irma's (and Irma herself). I'd recommend the Bridal Suite in Hamilton.

Also check out Tesi's in Ventnor.  She's an amazing lady and her prices are great.

whatever you do do NOT go to Country Way in Haddonfiled --

I am not a thin bride (although i have lost 10 pounds so far !!) but the sales girl there told me i was too fat to try on dresses at their store...

David Bridal in Maple Shade was wonderful...

The women at Country Way are insane - stuff like that happens all the time - I know from personal experience!
