My search for a wedding band is over! Much of the search felt like I was watching "The Wedding Singer" on rerun...but it all has worked out and I've found a really amazing band at exactly my price point.
I contacted around 20 bands either through managers or directly...even went to a few cheesy showcases that didn't really help much.
The band I chose is Deja Groove, an 11-piece horn band that can play everything from Sinatra to Journey to Black Eyed Peas (my major requirements haha). They really worked with me on my price point since it was a Sunday wedding and I am sooo happy. They are so talented musically and are so fun to watch! They set up a private show for us at their studio which I was very impressed with.
My other top band was Main Line Affair, an 8-piece group. I also went to see them live and they sounded a lot better in person. It was at the Paddock in Devon, PA and a lot of woman were having a blast dancing to them...so also a good choice. Definitely a good 2nd choice for us, they would have worked fine if I couldn't get Deja Groove.
These two bands have the lowest rates I could find around...so definitely a good place to start for anyone!
