Hi Ladies,

My name is Kate, and I am new to posting here. I've been lurking on the knot boards for a while. I figure now that I booked a reception venue, and are looking at vendors I would start posting, to get everyones valuable opinions, which I have been reading for months.

I just recently booked Congress Hall for my ceremony and reception in July 2011.

Can anyone having a reception in that general area give me suggestions for photographers, florists, and music-either bands or djs?

she is really flexible you tell her your budget and she can work with you .

Hi Kate welcome to the board!! I've been to Congress Hall before, not for a wedding but it's a beautiful place. Congrats! As for florists you should try Mums the Word in Marlton. Maria is awesome and she'll understand your vision and will work within your budget. I also know she'll travel down that far because I believe a few other girls who are getting married in Cape May are also using her. For photographer, I recommend Jordan Brian who's my photog. He's amazing!!! I love his pictures and his energy, though he's a bit pricey. So can also check out Marc Anthony, I hear from the boards that he's very reasonable and I've seen his pictures and he's really good too.  DJ recommendation would be Chris from DJ Your Way with Chris. He's located in Robbinsville but he doesn't have a traveling fee. He's awesome! He has a great voice, personality, and appearance and he also does mixing. GL! HTH!

Also recommend Maria at Mums the Word.  As for photog, Cindy Patrick. Check our her blog! I LOVE her!  We are using CTO Park Central as our band.  I'd recommend setting up an appt to go to one of CTO's showcases in Manayunk so you can get a feel for a bunch of different bands.

Photog= Marc Anthony Photography.  Love him and he is pretty reasonably prices.
Video= Alliance Video Productions- Tom is super nice.
DJ= DiNardo Brothers

I also recommend AlimarioPhoto! T has been great to work with and we are so excited with our decision to use him. Engagement photo from him in my signature
For our reception we are using Lilies Florist in Galloway. They have been great to work with and I can't wait to see the finished look.

For DJ I recommend Center Stage Entertainment. We are using Sean and so excited to have him!

Hey Kate and Welcome to the board!  This board has been so helpful in the planning process for me. 

My photog is Intrigue Photography based out of Haddonfield.  Though they are a little pricey, their work is amazing.
As others have said, I am in love with Maria from Mums the Word.  She was really responable and we immediately clicked.

I would try booking the photographer next.  I waited until November (I am getting married this October) to begin looking for a photographer.  Big mistake.  Alot of the more popular photogs like Marc Anthony were already booked.  I am really lucky Intrigue had an open spot.
