are you using a day of wedding coordinator?

I just got an e-mail from the lady that is in charge of my wedding and she told me that they would give me a go to person for the reception but not for the ceremony. This makes me a bit nervous because my ceremony is on the beach and I just want that to go as smoothly as possible. We really don't have the money to hire a coordinator so I'm not sure what to do. The ceremony is only 15 minutes but what makes me nervous is just having everyone line up right and walk on time, espicially since it's on the beach. Are you girls having a day of coordinator + do you have any advice on what I should do for the ceremony? Thanks

Ii have a wedding planner so she will be there that day she is a present from my aunt, but if you dont have money for a on the day coordinator maybe a close friend that is already married can help you guide things along or something or if you feel you need one maybe you can cut some cost here and there and try to agree on a price with a ODC.

I've looked into it and DOCs are really expensive. I think Erin by Proud to Plan or something like that was $1000 or $1500. I've found others that would be around 400-500. But I just think that's really expensive for just the day. I mean if it's going to cost that much I should've booked them earlier to help me from the beginning because it'd only be a few hundred more.
