Dry Cleaners vent

We took all of SIL dress blues to the dry cleaners while they were visiting. We had a friend pick them up Saturday before SIN left out on Labor Day.

I was horrified at such a crappy job they did on the dress blues. The sleeve creases weren't correct, the pant creases weren't correct either. They were WAY off!

I haven't had time to call them nor was I in the mood to deal with the idiots since my daughter was still here. Now that she had left yesterday, it is on the top of my priority after I get off work tomorrow. I just can not believe it and I should have taken pictures of them but we were in a rush to get him packed on Sunday.

IMO if you have a dry cleaning business in the UNITED STATES of AMERICA the FIRST thing ALL employees should know is how to properly press and clean ANY U.S. Military Branch Uniform. Am I wrong?

ETA spelling correction

</div><div>What if the business is in an area that there is no military?  Aren't the creases suppose to be on the seam lines? If so that is how normal dress clothes are suppose to be so in a sense they already do</div><div>

it shouldn't matter if there is a base in the area or not. However; in this case,  we do  have the U.S. Cost Guard, a National Guard refueling unit, and the Marines in the immediate area . The crease wasn't even close to the middle of the seam.

I'm not talking about a base. I mean NG or anything. I've been to places that the nearest Unit is 2.5 hours away.  They should know from doing civilian suits.

I dunno, I feel like it's a free country - if someone doesn't want to learn anything about the military ever, that's their right.  Dry cleaners haven't gone through training and if most of their business doesn't come from military, it might not be a priority for them.  It is really the responsibility of the service member to make sure that the uniform is in regulation, and that includes being pressed appropriately.  On base cleaners tend to be VERY affordable and do an EXCELLENT job, so whenever possible it's best to use those.

When he gets where he's going, he'd need them re-pressed anyway.  Don't stress about it too much.  He also should know how to press his suit to correct the errors.

Well I do think they all need to know how to do that. BUT if they don't know how, at the very least, they should tell you that they can't before you leave your attire in their hands, assuming it's going to be taken care of.
