Florida Girls

I keep seeing people say they are moving to Florida or are in Flordia now and I can't keep track.

Amanda- Where in FL will you be? When will you be there?

amh- How far are you from Jax?

Who else is near Jax?

I'll be moving to FL eventually (within the next year I pray!). FI's house is in Orange Park.

oh, and FI totally wants to throw a party somewhere that ALL of us girls could get together. He's so cute like that. I talk about you ladies and inevitably he talks about how cool he thinks it'd be if we could work it out for all of us to get together somewhere someday (destination vacation, anyone!? lol)

I'm still big on an Orlando GTG.   It's only a few hours from Jax, 4 hours from me, and even the Savannah girls could make it down if they choose (Sami, dear, you'd drive 6  hours for me, yes?).  I'll totally pay for one hotel room if people wanted to do that!  And with the military discounts, Disney offers $130 tickets for a 3 day park hopper pass.  That's ridiculously cheap for Disney!  We could all go get smashed in Epcot!

I will be in JAX area. =D

I'll move out there as soon as I graduate and get a job OR I get married. I have been applying left and right but entry level I/T jobs are so scarce out there it makes me really sad.

I go out to JAX about every other month as it is now, but I spend the whole time with FI. ;-)

I'm in the panhandle, only 4 hours or so from Jax. We went to Orlando in Feb and it was awesome. Perfect weather and no summer or school field trip crowds. ITT offers crazy discounts for that area. Our hotel room at a 5 star hotel that had everything we needed was only $44/night. Can't even beat that at the Motel 6 these days...

Amanda, never seen the Canada video - what about it will make you sick?  Like motion sick?  Cuz that's soooo not for me then!  I had a panic attack on the Mission: Space ride last time because I got instantly horribly motion sick.  Stupid me!

Shay, you can get houses to rent in the area (granted, you have to drive to the parks since there's no shuttle, but it's worth it!) for around $60/night and you end up with 3 bedrooms!!!  I'd totally do that and pile in a bunch of Knotties, yes?!

It is a 360 degree movie. Something about the way they filmed (plus alcohol) made for a not very fun 15 minutes. Ahh just not something worth doing again, and they didn't even have chairs. Lame.

Ah... yeah, not for me.  I'd be closing my eyes and taking a nap to maintain my sanity/equilibrium!

We like to go on the Mexican ride with the Three Amigos - LOVE!  It's super cute, and there's never a line, and usually no one else is on the boat with us so it's like the "Tunnel of Love" or whatever where we just snuggle and kiss.

But yeah, with Knotties, it would be more like the Booze Cruise, which I'm totally down with!

Haha.. the Mexican ride, that one is cute, I have always had to wait in a long line for that one...  I really like the Norway ride.

About Disney in general, I HATE the kids that are crying and whining. THEY ARE IN THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH! STFU and be happy!

I'm up at Pensacola, but the Orlando drive isn't too bad (that's where we drove to adopt puppy, so we went there and back in a day). I don't know how long we'll be here though, but this sounds like fun (although FI will be so mad I go to Disney without him, oh well :))

I'm down for a Disney GTG, as long as FI stays here with the puppy or if we get someone to watch her I'm game. The ITT office has some awesome deals :) Orlando isn't too far from me - I think 2 hours. Us Jax ladies can just car pool down. :)

Yeah, I think FI would be weirded out going on a mass couples weekend.  Plus girls whose BF/FI/DH are deployed or in training would be riding solo - probably best to keep it to a girls weekend!

Totally agree, girls weekends are awesomeeee.

I think our FI's/H's would appreciate this more than an "Arranged play date" with a whole bunch of other mil guys whose SO's met on theknot! haha.... but hey, I'd tell them they can plan their own gtg if they want. lmao!

Confession: I've never even been to Disney

I want to go soo badly!  Are we being serious? Lets make it happen. How's December 15th-18th for everyone?

C- I looked at tickets and they're pretty cheap right now, so I would totally fly as long as someone could pick me up at the airport... Unless GG wanted to Road trip with me!!

For spring break I forced FI to go with me to Disney, the thought that it would be just lame and kidish... he LOVED it!

But the GTG in December is a no go for me.. I graduate on the 18ths. From college... Finally...with two degrees...WOO!!!
