Military Destination Wedding??

My fiance is in the Marines and we are having a destination wedding in Jamacia in July 2010, and still wanted to encorporate the traditions of a military wedding. Any creative ideas of how to do this??

    Is there any reason why your FI and/or the GM can't wear their uniforms? The cake could be the USMC seal, or something...and maybe y'all can figure out a way to do a saber arch? HTH...good luck!

    did you pick your colors yet? My friend just got married to a Marine and did the marine flag colors for her wedding and yellow and red would be great for Jamaica. good luck!

    We're getting married 4th of July weekend, and red is my color. we're going to throw in a tiny bit of navy blue to do sort of play on the red-white-blue thing. Is your FI an officer or NCO? If so, you can always cut the cake with his sword, which is what we're doing? If you have enough Marines coming, you can do a sword ceremony. He's wearing his uniform, right?
