Tricare Q

How does Tricare handle pre-existing conditions? I know that most private health insurance doesn't cover pre-existing conditions, but do any of you know if Tricare does?

I seem to think that TRICARE does not have a pre-existing conditions requirement. They seem to accept one and all as long as they are a military dependent. I googled it and found that when TRICARE does not exlude pre-existing conditions. Check out this link: http://www.tricare.mil/Factsheets/print.cfm?id=247 Scroll down to the "Note"--this is where is says that TRICARE does not exlude pre-existing conditions. HTH

I have had a ton of past health issues including 8 surgeries and I don't remember them really even asking.

TRICARE has no pre-existing conditions.  I have a history of a brain tumor that requires monitoring and care for the results of it...and it has all been covered 100%.
