    Placenta Teddy Bears...blow my mind...

    http://www.inhabitots.com/doing-it-for-the-kids-design-exhibition-placenta-teddy-bear/

I tried to make it clicky.  It didn't work.

ETA: I only remembered seeing this because I was watching Private Practice and a surrogate mother burried the placenta in her back yard and planted a tree there.

Don't worry, I wasn't shopping for them or anything.  It was a post on TN last year.

  • Hike - I have a wart on my ring finger on my left hand that I froze off.  And now I can't hold the leash when I walk Sasha.  I never would have thought that one spot on my ring finger would bother me so much!

Zims - I'm a champion parallel parker.  Fact.  I feel like those cars would make me double guess my instincts, and thus worse!

Sammy - I don't remember that from Private Practice?  Was that tonight?  I watch Thursday night episodes on Fridays, so I'll catch up then.  Creepy!

    1) the concept of space/the universe
    2) how airplanes fly/stay in the air
    3) how unsuspecting/stupid/undeserving/too young people seem to get pregnant just by looking at the opposite sex, while other deserving people have to wait for a long time, or try other options.
    4) how we start as a single cell and grow into what we are now
    5) how some people are risilient and can bounce back from abuse, while others retreat inward and never become "normal"
    6) the concepts of hearing, seeing, taste, touch...Oh and FTR, if someone asks you "if a tree falls and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?" the answer is "no." Thank you Sensation & Perception psych class.

  • Speaking of jello and bears: Gummy candy (bears, worms, fish...)
    It's made of meat, y'all!!!!

". Gelatin is a translucent, colorless, odorless, and nearly tasteless substance that is made by prolonged boiling of skin, cartilage and bones from animals. It's made primarily from the stuff meat industries have left over - we're talking about pork skins and cattle bones."

    Ewwwww....

That's all I've got for now.

Haha you didn't know that? That's why jello is so good for your nails!

  • LOL I knew, but when I think about it as I'm munching down on gummy candy, I'm like... whatttttt?! Obviously, I don't care THAT much. Still gross though.

    Y'all. Are. Hilarious.

Seriously.. this had me giggling and I'm at work and all the members looked over at me like "What is wrong with you?!"

ETA: Funny placenta story.  One of my co-workers has 10 kids (the oldest is my age and expecting her first baby this year!) and she had 7-8 of them at home.  With her last baby, who's 3 now, she had a home birth as well, but there were complications so she had to go to the hospital, well the midwife just put the placenta in the freezer.  Cut to a year later or so and her family was visiting.  She asked her brother to go get some deer meat out of the freezer, he grabs the placenta.  Thankfully she realized what it was and didn't cook it!!  That could have been awkward.  Who am I kidding?! I felt awkward hearing that story!!

  • Sometimes I think that maybe we all see colors differently. Like I might look at my red and see red. Someone else might see my blue but was taught it was the same as my red so they call it red and we both don't realize it.

  • Agree with Sami y'all are cracking me up! It is the ocean that wows me. I sit on the beach and think to myself there are other countries where this ends. I also think about the whole different world that lives under the sea. Damn Finding Nemo and Little Mermaid. Also space and is there a planet somewhere that has life on it and are they talking about trying to find life on other planets. Like do they deal with the same problems we are dealing with.

This is soo true!!  I got a new jacket for Curves (We keep it at like 68 inside for the members but when I'm not working out I'm cold!!) and it looked hot pink in the magazine & online, but when I got it.. I'm pretty sure it's red.. but someone else thought it was burgundy & someone else said "Yeah! that's pink!"

  • Sami- that happened to me too. I thought I bought purple shoes online and they came in a rust color. I showed my mom the picture and she didn't see purple.

  • I've always wondered that about colors, too!   My brother can't see the difference between gray and brown - he's color blind, but that's really the only one he has trouble with.  I just can't understand it, I don't have a clue what the world looks like to him!

I nibble, I don't bite.  Well, okay, I bite, but only when instigated!  Lying, selfish bridezilla behavior will make me bite.  Otherwise, I nibble playfully!
