I'll answer, even though we're married already lol.

1. How did you and H meet?
We met at work, when we were both stationed back in Kodiak, AK.

2. Name one thing you hate about the military (or your particular branch,base,etc).
It would be nice to be able to express myself in what I wear. Sometimes, no nail polish and a blue uniform can get really old.

3. What is your ONE (I know.. it's hard to narrow down) pet peeve about the boards?
When newbies claim they've lurked a while and have then decided to post. Their post is usually a repeat of something that was just asked, and then they get pissed when people point out that they're being dumb/selfish/stupid for not noticing their question was already asked (numerous times).

4. If there was one thing you could change about the wedding at this point, what would it be?
I wished it would have been held later in the day. We were back-to-back with another wedding at noon (ours was at 2pm) so we didn't have much time for setup, and then it felt too early to have our reception at 4pm. Hardly anyone danced, and it seemed like they just wanted to get the hell outta there and go home.

5. What would be your *dream* station with FI? (be realistic, ladies, there has to be an actual base/post at the location you pick )
There's a CG liaison office in Barbados that would be awesome, but I have to choose a place that we BOTH can go to, so I guess I'll say either San Diego or San Francisco. We have a lot of family and friends on the west coast. (If you asked him, he'd say he wants to go back to Kodiak, though, lol.)

6. What your venue/feel/theme like? Do they match?
Our wedding was a nice mix of both of our families. Somehow, the theme of our wedding became about lemons haha (since Ventura County is the citrus capital of the US). We had engagement pics taken in a lemon grove, and then used lemons in our centerpieces.

7. What is the highlight of this week for you (related to anything)?
 Spending time with H before he deploys in a few days. Then Disney World after that!

8. What's your guilty pleasure tv show? Glee or ANTM or Jeopardy.
Does Fi get into it too, or does he hate you with a passion while you're watching? He likes Glee, but ANTM drives him crazy. He says Jeopardy makes him feel stupid since he can only answer the sports/military history/guns/law enforcement questions.

9. If you were to join the military tomorrow, which would it be?
Well, seeing as how I've already been in the USCG for almost 9 years...lol

10. If you could go anywhere on your HM where would it be? I'd love love LOVE to go to Greece, Italy and Croatia. I would want to split it up between hiking/backpack/hostel-style honeymooning, and luxury hotel honeymooning.

Where are you actually going? Not sure yet, most likely an AI in Curacao though.

I wish it didn't cost as much, BUT it was worth it. Although just thinking on how much money we spent on it makes me cringe. lol I would have loved to have a photo tour, we just took pictures at the venue. 

5. What would be your *dream* station with FI? (be realistic, ladies, there has to be an actual base/post at the location you pick ) 

We were really hoping for San Diego! Our families are all on the West Coast so it would have been perfect for us. But now we are going to Norfolk instead. 

6. What your venue/feel/theme like? Do they match? (you're not having a disco themed wedding in a barn!? What's wrong with you.. )

Everything we wanted was in our venue, outdoor ceremony with a ballroom for the reception. Our theme was to mix our cultures together. 

7. What is the highlight of this week for you (related to anything)? 

I haven't had a "highlight" yet, I just got back from Japan yesterday so I am pretty jet lagged. But I'll be going to California this weekend to spend a couple of weeks there. My sister and her family are coming too, and it'll be the first time I will see my baby niece!! That will be the highlight!

8. What's your guilty pleasure tv show? Does Fi get into it too, or does he hate you with a passion while you're watching?

I have a lot, can't pick just one. H and I seem to only agree on one tv show and it's Spartacus! lol

9. If you were to join the military tomorrow, which would it be (based on you, not based on what your spouse is in which makes it easier blah blahblah)?

I think it would have been the Navy as well like H. I did take a test when I was younger. lol

10. If you could go anywhere on your HM where would it be? Where are you actually going? 

We wanted to go somewhere we've both never been which was Europe! And we went there, we stuck to just Italy though. H and I have been wanting to go there so badly, it was wonderful! We'll have to go back and visit other countries, like Greece, France, Spain, etc.

We met at a bar playing beer pong. He beat me the first time, but after that we teamed up, and we've been a team ever since.. In beer pong, and in life

I hate that the Hubs works such long hours, and that the MC sent him to Japan..

Children wanting advice for their wedding/VR.. My advice.. Wait till you can AT LEAST drink the champagne at your own wedding.

My wedding is over, but I wish that our pictures were better...

Ours what Christmas, Military, Our Love.. haha Idk, we didn't really get all themed out, but our venue was a beautiful lodge all decked out for Christmas, we used lots of natural stuff like pine cones, and holly, to tie in with the rustic theme of the lodge..

7. What is the highlight of this week for you (related to anything)?
I officially got my job on monday, and I'm super excited about my new job!!

8. What's your guilty pleasure tv show? Does Fi get into it too, or does he hate you with a passion while you're watching?
Embarassed Face...Real Housewives of Orange County. I get sucked in every time. I think I've kept my OC obsession hidden pretty well..

I Loved our HM we went to Leavenworth, WA (Beach and First you guys should check it out!! They say it's really nice for all 4 seasons, but we were the the week of Christmas and we absolutely loved it!!.. H had wanted to go to Hawaii, but that wasn't in the cards, we doing a vacation/second HM when he comes home since we will have spent our whole first year of marriage apart. It'll just be a week at the beach for just us before we PCS.

In high school I was in a Venture Crew, which is a co-ed program of the Boy Scouts. A mutual friend convinced him to join.

Not being able to plan way in advance. If I could, I'd totally have my calender filled out for about the next three years.

3. What is your ONE (I know.. it's hard to narrow down) pet peeve about the boards?
When people keep posting about silly drama. At a certain point I wonder why people keep responding to the stupid things people say.

4. If there was one thing you could change about the wedding at this point, what would it be?
Well we're over a year out, and at this point the only thing set in stone is the venue which I love, so anything I would want to change I still could! I'd love to know where Fi will be stationed at that time though.

5. What would be your *dream* station with FI? (be realistic, ladies, there has to be an actual base/post at the location you pick )
I don't really know any from personal experience except where Fi is stationed now... anywhere that I can get a job and that makes him happy is good with me!

6. What your venue/feel/theme like? Do they match?
Our venue is a garden center, the ceremony will be outside and the reception in the greenhouse (it has geothermal cooling so we won't all roast!) We don't really have a theme other than it being pretty casual and probably BBQ for dinner. Still debating dress code - Fi wants to wear his dress blues and I want a fancy dress, so the current thought is wedding party in formalwear and guests in more casual clothing.

7. What is the highlight of this week for you (related to anything)?
  It's finals week! I'm two days away with being done with my first year of grad school!

8. What's your guilty pleasure tv show? ... Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Does Fi get into it too, or does he hate you with a passion while you're watching? Well he bought me the boxed set of all the seasons and claims he'll watch it with me someday, but he always has an excuse anytime I suggest it...

9. If you were to join the military tomorrow, which would it be?
Um I guess Army since that's Fi's branch? I'd want to do something medical, so I guess I'd have to do some research

10. If you could go anywhere on your HM where would it be? Oh man so many places! Pretty much anywhere in Eurpose, Australia, Hawaii...

Where are you actually going? Probably no where - Fi will have just moved to a new station and probably won't want to take leave while he's still getting acclimated, and I'll hopefully have a new job a well. Maybe we'll spend a night in a cabin somewhere.

1. How did you and FI meet? 

We had a lot of mutual friends without ever meeting eachother, and ended up buying Bills season tickets in the same large group of people.  We rented a school bus to take us to a lot of the games (yay for bus driver DD's!), and we met when we were sitting across from eachother on the way to the first game of the season.  My best guy friend was with me, and instantly liked H as well, which was a great sign for me as well.  

2. Name one thing you hate about the military (or your particular branch,base,etc).

That your whole life can change at the drop of a hat.  And also that your entire life is basically a game of hurry up and wait.  I hate that game. 

 3. What is your ONE (I know.. it's hard to narrow down) pet peeve about the boards? 

It depends on the board.  On here I hate all the baby brides who think who are just bitter old hags who are out to get them because we don't validate their teenage quickie marriage followed by a PPD.  On E my pet peeve is overzealous new posters to the board.  Especially the ones who act like total bitches because they think that's how the board is (I swear it's not), and also the ones who come in and know a ton about the regs from lurking just creeps me the eff out. 

4. If there was one thing you could change about the wedding at this point, what would it be? 

Well we are almost at our 1 year anniversary, so it's definitely too late to change anything.  I loved everything about our wedding, but when I look back on it, it makes me sick how much money was spent on one day.  I do think every penny was worth it and loved everything about our wedding, but I probably could have had that same feeling for about $10k less.

5. What would be your *dream* station with FI? (be realistic, ladies, there has to be an actual base/post at the location you pick ) 

Our dream and our goal is to end up in Jacksonville.  We really like it there, and love the base.  If that doesn't happen though, I would have no problems coming back to Washington.  

6. What your venue/feel/theme like? Do they match? (you're not having a disco themed wedding in a barn!? What's wrong with you.. ) 

I didn't even know weddings had themes until mine was over.  I guess our theme ended up being damask, if that even is a them.  Also, I didn't know what damask was until I started shopping for the wedding.  I just really liked the "fun black and white patterned stuff."  Our colors were black and white with pink accents, so we ended up finding tons of stuff in damask that we loved, and I guess that became our theme.

7. What is the highlight of this week for you (related to anything)? 

Well if we can count the past week, it was my friend from home coming to visit and getting beautiful weather and views here and getting to do so much awesome stuff.  For the current week, I think my highlight is having a weekend with no plans, and no duty for H. 

8. What's your guilty pleasure tv show? Does Fi get into it too, or does he hate you with a passion while you're watching?

Oh man I have so many.  The ones that i guess are the worst are The Bachelor/Bachelorette, and Sister Wives.  I have tons of shows that i watch religiously though.  H and I have complete opposite tastes in TV, so basically if I like it, he hates it, and vice versa.  I have all my shows set to DVR automatically, and I usually watch these 2 while he is on duty.

9. If you were to join the military tomorrow, which would it be (based on you, not based on what your spouse is in which makes it easier blah blahblah)? 

Probably the Navy, only because I know the most about it from H being in.

10. If you could go anywhere on your HM where would it be? Where are you actually going?

My dream vacation is a 2 week Mediterranean cruise.  I would love to do it sooner, but as of now that's our plan for when H retires.  Our real honeymoon was 8 months after the wedding, and we went to Whistler, B.C.  I loved it there and we had a great time.

2. Name one thing you hate about the military (or your particular branch,base,etc). I wish things didn't take so long, but at this point I really don't 'hate' anything. Although I very rarely use the word hate since its pretty strong for me.

3. What is your ONE (I know.. it's hard to narrow down) pet peeve about the boards? I really dislike one of my month board mods.

4. If there was one thing you could change about the wedding at this point, what would it be? I would have liked to have more time with David, I wish time would have slowed down!

(be realistic, ladies, there has to be an actual base/post at the location you pick ) Before he got his assignment I was really excited for Nebraska, since I had an in for a job. Then I got really excited for Dover AFB since its on the east coast and also awesome for jobs for me. None of those worked out so I am trusted God is going to put me where he needs me as long as H is with me I have no favorite.

6. What your venue/feel/theme like? Do they match? (you're not having a disco themed wedding in a barn!? What's wrong with you.. ) Semi-formal. I wanted a garden inside feel, but dang are flowers expensive!!

7. What is the highlight of this week for you (related to anything)? My Nephew turned 1 on Sat. I know its not technically this week but to me it counts LoL

8. What's your guilty pleasure tv show? Does Fi get into it too, or does he hate you with a passion while you're watching? Jersey Shore for sure, and all the real housewives. FI gets annoyed when I shh him during Bones. When I get into a show, I only talk during commericals.

9. If you were to join the military tomorrow, which would it be (based on you, not based on what your spouse is in which makes it easier blah blahblah)? I seriously considered joining the military in HS but once H was accepted to the AFA I knew it wouldn't happen for me.

We are taking our dream honeymoon thanks to his parents, which is a 7day Medditerean Cruise (Spain, Italy, Greece) but we don't know when we are going to be able to take it. In the meantime I want to take a shorter trip to Costa Rica., I love cruises but they don't mesh well with the Military since they have such strict date ranges.

1. How did you and FI meet?
I went into work (I was a bartender) to pick up my paycheck, and he and his friend were in there. I made fun of his friend's shirt, thought FI was cute, we ended up at the same club later, and I invited him to come into work the next day. I forgot to tell him I didn't start until 2000, so he came in at 1400, and had been drinking all day waiting for me to show up. Ha.

2. Name one thing you hate about the military (or your particular branch,base,etc). 

I hate FI's neighbors. They're all young, martyr families (i.e. they all have Toughest Job in the Corps: WIFE stickers, etc.), and they have loud fights. 

3. What is your ONE (I know.. it's hard to narrow down) pet peeve about the boards? 
This is on all three of the mil boards, MB, MN, and MF. When spouses are defined by their service member's job. 

4. If there was one thing you could change about the wedding at this point, what would it be? 

I wish the reception location were way bigger.

5. What would be your *dream* station with FI? (be realistic, ladies, there has to be an actual base/post at the location you pick ) 

I would like to eventually be an MSG zone OIC. Which means I could end up in any number of locations, but I'd love to be the Eastern Europe zone O.

I don't really have a theme per se, if I did, it would be America, F yeah. But I don't. When I started, and still, I was going for Summer 1941. My ceremony location is the best place ever, and my reception hall looks like a USO hall.

7. What is the highlight of this week for you (related to anything)? 

I'm getting a lot of work done.

Jersey Shore. FI hates it.

Um. The Marine Corps. Obviously. And it won't be tomorrow, but hoppefully it will be soon. That's actually my pet peeve in life. People think I want to join the MC because I'm dating FI. Actually, I'm with FI because he was the most supportive guy ever of me joining, and he knew that came first.

New Zealand, we're going to Vegas for a couple days, but he has to get back for work. When we started planning, he wasn't deploying. Now that he is (yay), we're just grateful we get to keep our date.

dn bc is a great honeymoon/minimoon for the time being! I'm getting my enhanced DL this week so we can go up to canadia for the bach party. haha I love your description of damask, which definitely counts as a theme/feel I would say. very elegant

sami I love the way you describe how you met.. way way too cute. I know I have been a slacker..we have been meaning to get over the levenworth (mainly because I'm tired of everyone saying "oh you lived in germany?! have you been to levenworth!? its exactly like germany so you should go blahblabhalbha" gets really old)  but every time we have planned a trip, FI gets suddenly sent somewhere. oi

1. How did you and FI meet? We met our freshman year of high school. I thought he was a dork. Fast forward to junior year and we happen to have a mutual friend at that point. We start hanging out and it just happened.

2. Name one thing you hate about the military (or your particular branch,base,etc). I think it's the uncertainty. Never being able to make solid plans months in advance (besides our wedding) because we never know what's going to be happening.

3. What is your ONE (I know.. it's hard to narrow down) pet peeve about the boards? People who ask for advice, but once they get it they don't want it.

4. If there was one thing you could change about the wedding at this point, what would it be?  Hmmm. I don't think I'm close enough to the wedding that I really have anything I would want to change yet. Our venue did used to have swans in the lake out back but they died and they can't get more. I do wish they were still there.

5. What would be your *dream* station with FI? (be realistic, ladies, there has to be an actual base/post at the location you pick ) Camp Pendleton is awesome, because it's 30 minutes from where both of our families live. (This is where he's currently at.) If I could pick anywhere else though it would be Schofield Barracks on Oahu, mainly because I wouldn't mind living in Hawaii.

6. What your venue/feel/theme like? Do they match? (you're not having a disco themed wedding in a barn!? What's wrong with you.. ) Our venue is a mansion with a huge lake in the back. It goes perfectly with what we were imagining. We wanted something elegant and classic, which fits. We don't really have a theme besides black & white. Haha.

7. What is the highlight of this week for you (related to anything)? I've gotten to talk to FI 3 times already and he even approved our invitations! (SCORE!) I also sent out my transcripts for school in the fall so I feel like that is a pretty big deal.

8. What's your guilty pleasure tv show? Does Fi get into it too, or does he hate you with a passion while you're watching? Glee & The Bachelor/Bachelorette. FI will watch Glee with me because he actually thinks it's pretty funny. He'll watch Bachelor/Bachelorette with me and complain the WHOLE time but by the end he gets pissed off about who gets sent home.

9. If you were to join the military tomorrow, which would it be (based on you, not based on what your spouse is in which makes it easier blah blahblah)? Probably the Marine Corps, mainly because I know most about that branch and I did Jane Wayne Day so I have a microscopic idea of what it's like. I think I'd go crazy in the military, though.

10. If you could go anywhere on your HM where would it be? Where are you actually going? Ireland is our dream honeymoon, but we're most likely going to stay in the states. Right now we're debating between Washington DC and New York.

So do I! I miss living in California, that's why I wanted to go back so badly, lol. H and I were just married 3 months ago and his orders in Japan end this September, no point in me moving over there. SOFA won't sponsor me, so I stayed there for as much as I can but they just left for deployment and by the time H gets back it's time to PCS! He's in Yokosuka.

Thank you! Yes, I do love it there! I will surely miss Japan, I've spent a lot of time there for the past 3 years. It was our "home" away from home. lol

I'm starting at California State University Fullerton in the fall after being at community college for three years. I'm a liberal studies major so I still have a while ahead of me before I get my teaching credentials. I'm hoping FI stays put in California until I can get my degree! Haha. This is the first summer I'm not taking summer classes. I feel like I have NOTHING to do!

yeah I have to do summer courses, because a class isn't being offered fall or winter quarter and I graduate winter (two quarter later because I transferred to my college from Univ. of Washington, go huskies!, and lost a few credits. laaame). I have a couple people that go to CSUF and like it (I finished high school in Monterey, ca)

Kara, I have heard wonderful things about Japan. Super envious. Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL. I think the one thing I'm worried about is not getting all the pictures I want for the wedding, but I don't know how to give my photog a "must have" list without coming off rude. haha

Total beach wedding. Ceremony on beach, reception at hotel overlooking gulf, penthouse level reception room. It's awesome.

I was 11 he was 12.  I was at Hershey Park (3 hours away from home) for my dad's work picnic.  DH was also at Hershey Park with his dad, uncle, and cousin.  We both ended up on the same water park ride and made fun of eachother.  Fast forward a week later and he gets on to my school bus.  WTH!?  He had just moved to town from 2 hours away that summer.  We have been picking on eachother ever since.

When DH and I get divorced and married to eachother again for our 25th anniversary (joke between us) I'm having a gypsy themed disco wedding in a barn thank you very much.

7. What is the highlight of this week for you (related to anything)?
I don't really have one as I am waiting to go home in 2 weeks so that is overshadowing everything else.

8. What's your guilty pleasure tv show? Does Fi get into it too, or does he hate you with a passion while you're watching?
Secret Life...don't hate...my college roommate got me in to it.  DH hates it with a blinding passion.

9. If you were to join the military tomorrow, which would it be (based on you, not based on what your spouse is in which makes it easier blah blahblah)?
Army (I'm actually in the middle of a heath care administration officer application).  My degree can take me where I really want to go with a military career in the Army (provided I get picked up).

10. If you could go anywhere on your HM where would it be? Where are you actually going?
If I could have gone anywhere, I would have gone to Italy.  I went to San Diego for a weekend and we stayed in some shady hotel near Camp Pendleton.  I will never forget that trip.

1. How did you and FI meet?
We were on a kickball team together.  It's a social activity that's VERY popular in DC, where we were both living at the time.  So I met him on the grass in front of the Washington Monument on Sept 7, 2008.

2. Name one thing you hate about the military (or your particular branch,base,etc).
Deployments, duh.  Wish they could make them 2 months or less.  I haven't gone through one yet, but I'm not looking forward to it.  I think just about everything else balances out, though I'm sure bureaucratic red tape is annoying.

3. What is your ONE (I know.. it's hard to narrow down) pet peeve about the boards?
In general, I hate when people are mean or sarcastic for the point of being funny.  I think less of people who are mean for sport.

4. If there was one thing you could change about the wedding at this point, what would it be?
This is hard, because I'm getting basically everything I've ever dreamed of for my wedding.  I'm a very spoiled, lucky girl!  I think I would have gone with a photographer who cost 3x as much as mine - ridiculously expensive, but it would have been epic.  I cannot justify the cost in any way, though.

5. What would be your *dream* station with FI? (be realistic, ladies, there has to be an actual base/post at the location you pick )
Pendleton.  I love San Diego, and I love the weather out there.  I was just in LA this past weekend, and I went running every day because the weather was fantastic.  To have near perfect weather all year without the humidity, I'd become an ultra-marathoner (haha, I kid, but I'd seriously run every day).

6. What your venue/feel/theme like? Do they match? (you're not having a disco themed wedding in a barn!? What's wrong with you.. )
Venue is a beautiful mansion on the water in New England (very Newport-esque without the Newport price tag).  Our theme is elegant vintage garden party, and they match perfectly.  We're also doing a sub-theme of games since they play such a big part in our history and relationship - scratch off STDs, croquet and bocce and cornhole at the cocktail hour, MadLibs style cards for 'advise' at each table, etc.

7. What is the highlight of this week for you (related to anything)?
I bought my DRESS!!!!

8. What's your guilty pleasure tv show? Does Fi get into it too, or does he hate you with a passion while you're watching?
Gray's Anatomy and Private Practice.  Worse is Secret Life of the American Teenager, which is just trash.  Oh, and Burn Notice is like porn to me. He ignores it, and I usually watch it on my computer.

9. If you were to join the military tomorrow, which would it be (based on you, not based on what your spouse is in which makes it easier blah blahblah)?
Probably the Army.  I'd get seasick, so no Navy or Coast Guard.  I'm not cut out to be a Marine, and I don't really want to be in the Air Force.  There's a lot of opportunity in the Army.

10. If you could go anywhere on your HM where would it be? Where are you actually going?
We'd go to Thailand and Vietnam.  We were planning to until I lost my job and thus won't be making the airline miles to purchase our tickets (which would be the most expensive part).  Instead, I think we're probably going to go to Napa.

On match.com. I feel like a living commercial every time I say that... I had moved to Kansas for an ex (worst/ best idea ever) and after that ended I figured I had nothing to lose window shopping on the internet. He had recently gotten stationed here and didn't really know anyone. It all worked out for the best, even though I'm definitely ready to move on from Kansas!

2. Name one thing you hate about the military (or your particular branch,base,etc).
I'm generally an impatient person so the whole not being able to know where FI is being stationed next is grating on my nerves. 

3. What is your ONE (I know.. it's hard to narrow down) pet peeve about the boards?
I am genuinely confused by people who post and then get pissy when they're given honest and excellent advice. 

4. If there was one thing you could change about the wedding at this point, what would it be? 
I'd love for us to live closer to where the wedding will be so planning will be slightly easier... 

5. What would be your *dream* station with FI? (be realistic, ladies, there has to be an actual base/post at the location you pick ) 
For right now, Ft. Meade. It's the closest to my family and I want so badly to be near my parents (my mom has dementia and I just want the opportunity to make as many good memories I can while she's still kinda here, mentally speaking. And I want to be able to support my dad). 

6. What your venue/feel/theme like? Do they match? (you're not having a disco themed wedding in a barn!? What's wrong with you.. )
Our venue is a historical hotel on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It doesn't have a water view (which is what I initially thought I wanted) but when we were walking around it was the only venue I could actually imagine us getting married at. We don't really have a theme but overall we're going for a classic yet kinda modern feel. I think they'll mesh well together!

7. What is the highlight of this week for you (related to anything)? 
Got the first draft of our contract with the venue and I got a promotion! 

8. What's your guilty pleasure tv show? Does Fi get into it too, or does he hate you with a passion while you're watching?
I travel every single week for work so we don't watch that much tv together. We both like 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation. I also watch Glee but he's not into it. 

9. If you were to join the military tomorrow, which would it be (based on you, not based on what your spouse is in which makes it easier blah blahblah)?
I guess the Air Force? I never seriously considered it. My dad always wanted me to go into the Air Force to pay for medical school but life didn't work out quite that way.

Almost everywhere. New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Thailand, Italy, Greece. I wonder if we could fit that all into less than 2 weeks...

Where are you actually going? 

We haven't picked a place yet but in the running is another place I've always wanted to go, Costa Rica.

Please take lots of pictures of the disco themed barn wedding I wish we could end up in Rota as well. It used to be a based for P3's but they shut it down for them and now it's just a gas and go stop. Saaad... oh well.

Calindi- LOL I like that you said "deployments, duh" although you stated that you haven't gone through one yet. They suck, but aren't as bad as you hype yourself up for them to be. FI and I are attached at the hip and it really made us even more solid. The first half of the first deployment is tough, but then it's all downhill (in a good way) from there. Congrats on buying the dress!!!!! That's so exciting! I... just got a second one.. lol.. I'm not crazy about my first one.. so... yeah.. oh well.. bye bye first and hello second (don't worry I won't do that with hubby hehe)

THe only bad thing about getting "engaged' before deployment without the ring, was that we had a LOT of the planning done already.. but for Chattanooga.. then we got publically engaged on your wedding date, and realized we needed to switch the venue to washington... OOPS!  :P

Our pictures turned out terrible, so I don't post them haha. I think that I looked terrible on our wedding day, which makes me sad, but I wish I'd been motivated then to lose weight, like I am now. Looking at my wedding pictures makes me want to throw up sometimes because I look like a cow. Whatever, I'm super motivated now, I tell people all the time that H won't recognize me next time he sees me!! I'll have grown my hair out, I get to tan for free at work, and I plan on losing a lot of weight between now and then. Everyone thinks I'm nuts for wanting to lose 75lbs, but I have a goal and I'm going to stick to it. Most women try to lose weight before the wedding, I gained, but I had alot going on personally and I was super unhappy. I was in a really bad place. My BFF always reminds me that H married me dispite how low I felt, he's loved me at my heaviest, and I can't wait for him to see me at my best!!

Wow.. Sorry for that vent, but has anyone ever told you that you look like Kate Middleton? I was looking at your pics and you remind me of her alot!!!

H went home for Christmas and told his mom he found the girl he was going to marry. I thought he was nuts, and we dated for like a year, the whole time he was saying "I'm going to marry you", right before he went to Japan he got me a small ring and said "I've told you I was going to marry you but you don't ever seem to believe me, so I'm asking you now.. Will you marry me?" It was really sweet, but when I went to Japan last September was when I got my real ring and he proposed again. A big public proposal wasn't for us, we're both pretty low key that way. Mmm.. Talking about it makes me miss him so much!!

haha no I haven't gotten kate middleton.. I get a few others though. Jessica alba I get A LOT when I'm tan. Kim kardashian was aaaaaaalll last summer too because I was so dark. Now that I'm all white I get whiter ladies :P
I think you're super motivated and that's awesome! I am a curvy girl (as in.. definitely hourglass figure) so I always struggle with self esteem, since a lot of my girlfriends are pretty small. I want to tone up my arms for the big day. I have DD's unfortunately beign well endowed up top tends to mean the arms gain weight faster it seems... blah. Oh well I'm gettin there Do you food log?

Oh! When I say "public" I mean, the one we tell people about, he did both privately too. hahaha. We're super low key that way too. I'm going to complain about Camp Lejeune, it's in Jacksonville, NC and it in my opinion is one of the most trashy, run down places I've been.  Strip clubs, bars, and boots....ugh.

People who ask for advice but get PO'd when it isn't what they wanted to hear.

FI tried once again to convince me to get married while I visit him this summer.  I'm telling you ladies, it's tempting.  I just want to marry the man already!  But I know it would kill my parents if they weren't there, and it would make the wedding we've been planning moot.  And I really like our wedding!  Not to mention we have a lot of contracts signed so we'd be throwing a party one way or another.  And then I'd be one of those vow renewal girls who call it a wedding day and you'd all have to hate me.

First- I think it was the blue dress that made me think of HRH. I food journal, but mostly I keep it on MFP. It's easy because they track the calories for me. My new job totally helps!! I don't get many hours, but I still work out 6 days a week. I'm trying to work out for 90 minutes a day. So far, so good!! haha
