Tired Tuesday

Man I could not pry myself out of bed this morning, and now Im at work completely unmotivated to do. anything. Luckily, the CEO of one of our major vendors is visiting the lab and we get free lunch. Woo! Unluckily, I'm dressed like a slob, due to prior mentioned unmotivated morning....Ah well.

I met my friends adorable baby girl yesterday! Check her out!! She's ten days old!

Re: Tired Tuesday

  • AWWWW!!!!!  She's so freaking cute!  That's the one I made the poster for?  She's adorable!

I have baby fever like whoa.  Gotta wait, though.  Not only do we want to be married first (and ideally for awhile before we have kids) but also my 'health insurance' lacks maternity care (or basically anything else, for that matter).  It's gonna be hard to stop these baby cravings, though, when I'm on TriCare!

I think I just did a pretty decent job of convincing my higher-ups that I'm super motivated and hard working and blah blah blah.  So hopefully that buys me a bit more time and a bit less stress, and makes this job liveable for the next 17 weeks.

  • Oh YES!!! I meant to tell you Cal, my friend was sooooooo touched by it, she said she'll take a pic once they hang it!!

  • I hear ya on baby fever cal. I know I'm so not ready and it'll be at least 5 years. A girl in my support group is pregnant. She's like 21-22 and not married but in a serious relationship. She was telling me about all of the costs they're facing and it was crazy. She's on her parents insurance and said after the baby is born and has its first visit, it has 30 days to get new insurance.
  • I wanted to just stay in bed today.  I have no idea why it is so hard to get up on work days but not on any other day.  Oh well.

I have baby fever.  A friend of mine just found out is going to have a baby.  There is a funny back story to that but I don't really want to put her business on a public forum.  You know what I mean.  Any way it just made my fever a little stronger however since we are using "Deployment Birth Control" it will have to wait.
  • Cute baby! Cousin's baby has a cold. He's napping right now but I've been wiping his face then using the germ x. I'm so not down for getting a cold.

  • FI and I have pretty bad baby fever. But we are planning on having children in the near future. We arn't going to actively TTC but we aren't going to be preventing it either. We're pretty financially sound atm, and my job is thankfully pretty flexible. We rather have children now, were we can be more active with them, than wait 7 years until the next shore duty rotation rolls around.

My day has been pretty okay. I had to pull myself out of bed this morning and work out and then had my 2nd fitting. I actually need to call her back, because we scheduled my final fitting and pick up the week of the wedding (2/29) but I'm wanting another fitting in between them, just to make sure ya know? It kind of worries me about not having one for another 6 weeks. Other than that, just a normal workday here.

    Irish- She is beautiful!

I am SOO tired.... and I feel like I got ran over by a car. I hate being sick. I have been pretty busy at work this morning. My sisters just had babies. 9mo and 6mo. They are ADORABLE. the 9 mo old is at that fun stage where she actually does stuff.  Never in my life have I had baby fever.... I love babies, and I want kids...but not now. It makes me wonder if something is wrong with me... I mean who has NEVER had baby fever? I guess I watch too much "16 and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom" to ever think having kids would be a good idea. Haha.

Support group?  Is the Dad in the military?  Because if so, the baby should be able to be covered by TriCare when it's born (though the mother is not during pregnancy).

  • Ahhhh, baby fever. You KNOW I've got it. We're going to wait and see if H gets in to the Army first before we TTC. LIke amh, we won't be actively trying, but we won't be preventing, either. I'm going to finish up this batch of BCP and just not get back on it.

I have sooo much work to do today, and I just don't want to do any of it. I am so lazy!!!

It's kinda weird that she's in the group. For a while she didn't have a military affiliation and would say I have a few exes in the military now I'm dating a hockey player that goes to school here. It really rubbed some of the girls the wrong way Then end of last year her brother joined the Illinois national guard so that's her affiliation now. She had talked about joining herself in the Air force I believe but I doubt that now
  • All you ladies with your talk of baby fever makes me laugh. I almost NEVER have it, because my life is just waaaaay too busy right now. Except, of course, that I'm spending this entire week working in the newborn nursery and OH MY GOODNESS I can't begin to describe how adorably precious these kids are. So yeah, I guess I'm joining the baby fever crowd.

Irish - She's adorable! :) Congrats to your friend.

I am so very tired today. Went to bed later than usual and then my mom was cooking last night which set off the fire alarm. Not only woke me up and is freakin annoying but my dogs were scared to death. My poodle ran out of my room and my tiny Pom was shaking SO badly. I had to hold her and calm her down long after it had stopped. :(

I also have very slight baby fever. I want to have a child with FI so badly BUT we both know better. Not only would our families murder both of us for getting pregnant before we're married but we still need to save money and move out on our own and wait till FI gets a more stable job. I also would much rather buy a vacation for FI and I instead of baby furniture. ;)

I love my kitties too! Totally treat her like my baby (did have my older cat out here but he wasn't happy being an indoor cat and kept spraying so he's back at my parents)
