uuuuuugh and I can't find handkerchiefs in any of the stores around here... I hate ordering online... >_< I want to hand stitch handkerchiefs for our moms to give them at the RD for the wedding. arg.

I've noticed that we really are always on here..I like us!!

I'm pretty annoyed with the fact that my H has been drinking like an underage frat boy all weekend. It's not that I don't trust him, or that I don't want him to go out and have fun, but I mean.. He's a married man. Plus, no matter what I do all his friends "hate" me for no reason other than the fact that I'm his wife. They constantly refer to me as the "ball and chain" or his "first wife". I'm all for going out and having a good time, but I'm really hoping this doesn't become a regular thing every weekend.

On a brighter note...It's our half-a-versary!!!

We always go and Fi is all "oh I'll be dd I don't feel like drinking" and then the MOMENT we get there he's like 'actually.........'
thanks buddy. lol. I wish he were in a drinking mood this weekend. If would get him off the couch! The guy loves this new video game, but I can't get into it (which is strange bc usually I LOVE the games he plays) so I'm just sitting here... looking up DIY projects.. haha

The ball and chain comment is just standard military.. and the 1st wife, while I would tell them to stfu if anyone were to ever say that about me, is probably just a joke because of how common divorces are and how fresh your marriage is... it'll wear off once you guys hit the 1year mark I bet. Fi gets called MY ball and chain since I'm only 22.. he doesn't like it either hahaha

men are just dumb.. it's probably because you're SO sweet, the guys don't see it lasting. The guys in our squadron were like that with me too because I love cooking for them. two years later they finally get it. haha

ps. I stepped on the scale last week and lost 13 pounds too! random same number! lol. Although I have been HORRIBLE this week.. So I pretty much lost some muscle that I need to step up and build back oi

I guess H is in the minority because he never goes out drinking like that, and he HATES the taste of beer. He only drinks hard liquor or cocktails when we're out. We both love cocktails. Hahahaha.

FTL, I am so jealous of your weight loss. I have to lose at least 10lbs because I gained that much over the last 3 months. I guess that's what I got for eating out so much, especially those yummy desserts they have in Japan. lol

I actually need to weigh myself again at work next week. I've been really good lately about eating, but not so much about working out. I work out the whole time I'm at work, but with the kid that I watch, she just likes to sit around and watch MTV. I try to get her to go out and walk with me, or do SOMETHING but she's way to obsessed with "teen mom" and all that C-R-A-P.

I'm making H homemade granola bars monday with crasins, blueberries (crasin brand.. who knew they made these?!) and white chocolate chips for 4th of July. Tehehe.. I love themes!!

I have a new vent though!! My BFF got married in April. She had a JOP ceremony, and then her parents hosted a big reception at their house, had it catered, it was an Alice in Wonderland/Mad Hatter's Tea Party type thing (Un-birthday, Un-Wedding.. ya know?) Anyway, I planned my previous trip home around her reception got her a toaster and a some linens and things from her registry, helped them decorate and all sorts of things for her big reception. She was bragging to me about finally finishing her TY's and that she was sending them out. I didn't think anything else about it, until today when my mom got a TY from her. My mom gave her a set of tupperware. Should I be mad? She didn't give us anything for a wedding present, and thats fine, but she sent us a really sweet card. I sent her an engagement card, a wedding card, got her a gift, and did all of that to help her and I didn't even get a verbal TY, let alone an actual card. Am I overreacting? ugh...

His FRIENDS refer to you as his FIRST WIFE?! WTH?! Sami, seriously, he needs to be standing up for you. FI would not call anyone who called me that his friends. Granted, he's been in the MC for 10 years and is past that "must be besties with every guy in the squadron" phase, but still. He should be standing up for you. It's not your job to make them like you, it's YH's job to not tolerate that sort of rudeness from them. He needs to be Team Sami, 24/7. Even if it makes him "uncool".

Don't get the wrong idea, I use the term "friends" loosely. They are the guys around his age that live in the bricks with him. I told him that it really pisses me off, and he says that they are just kidding. He sticks up for me all the time, and he got into a fight with one guy(his former roommate) over being disrespectful towards me. Mostly they do it when they know he's talking to me on the phone. The older NCO's love me!! it's all the Cpl's that are complete douches. I dont take anything that they say too seriously because they've all cheated on or broken up with their GF/FI because of the distance. I think that mostly they wish they had what H and I have, and being jerks makes them feel better about how badly they handle their relationships.

How do you make homemade granola bars? I would love to learn! That sounds yummy! I think it's okay to be upset about not getting a TY card, but maybe it's just late or got lost in the mail? But if one doesn't come, I'd just let it go. Some people are just like that, they don't know how to appreciate gifts and friends! 

How old is the kid you work with? She watches "teen mom" already?! I don't want to weigh myself, I am too scared of what number will come up.. I just knew I gained a lot since I went to the doctor's last week! haha But I've been pretty motivated with working out this week. Ran basically everyday and have been doing zumba as well!

hmm.. how long ago was the reception? Because if your mom JUST got hers, yours could still be in the mail? She may have done them all at once and sent a mass out, instead of sending out one every time she got something? I'm sorry if that's not the case though.. I would be pretty pissed.

Her reception was May 14th. The monday after that they moved to AZ and have been getting settled in. My mom was like, maybe you'll get it monday. I would never actually say something to her about it, but I still think it's incredibly rude to not thank everyone, I even sent my parents and my IL's TY's for everything they did for us for the wedding, in addition to the gifts we got them all.

The Kid.. she'll be 13 next month. I thought it was a little early for her too!! I think that show is pure trashy though. I feel like my IQ drops 10 points everytime I watch that crap! But here's a cute picture of her at the Zoo!! I keep her on the days that I'm not working at Curves. I soooo love my job(s)!!


I'm really impressed Kara.. I hate to run. I do the Zumba/Curves classes twice a week which is kind of funny because I am NOT a booty shaker, and I'm pretty uncoordinated. But I love it!! Plus I'm by far the youngest woman in the class, so if the 50 and 60 year old women can shake it, I can at least try right?

I will have to look at that site for more recipes! I've never sent H any homemade goodies(I can cook, but I can't exactly bake too much stuff, his mom does though lol). H and I love running, well we did, until we became fatties. lol. He used to be in state championships for x country and track. I never joined but I just loved running, used to do miles and miles at the beach until I moved on to college and got so out of shape! haha H and I are trying to get back into gear though. Whenever I'm in Japan, we try to run together, which was good training for his last PFA because he came in first! 

I'm not a booty shaker either nor do I know how to dance much but I really love Zumba too! And I agree there are always a lot of old women and sometimes even men! So I don't feel that bed when I mess up the steps! haha The kid is cute btw, I just wished she didn't watch that crap on tv. I've never seen an episode of it. I don't know why, I just can't stand it! 

As for your friend, since her wedding was just last month, give her a little bit more time. Maybe she's going down a list and just haven't gotten to yours yet? It took me a while before we sent out our TYs, because we were so busy with what went down in Japan and we were waiting for our pictures and mail was taking forever over there! But if you never get a TY from her, then yes, that's very rude. I made sure to thank everyone, gift or no gift.

Luckily Curves is women only!! Thats why so many women come there! It's funny though when a guy comes in like the mail man, or someone dropping off phamplets or something it gets really quite and everyone is like "THERE'S A MAN IN HERE!!!" it's hilarious.

There's a 16 and pregnant marathon on today, and I was channel surfing and watched a few minutes of it and it just baffles me that these young kids are so clueless. H and I want to start our family soon enough, but I mean even the thought kind of intimidates me. I can't imagine what I would have done if I had ever gotten myself into that position. I know my parents would have helped me alot, but I'm just glad that I didn't have to go through all that.

When you said mail man coming on and a bunch of women, I instantly just though of Legally Blonde and the mail man going in the salon! haha. I haven't seen any of "16 & Pregnant." I don't know what I would have done too if I were in that position. I'd like to smack those girls in the heads for being so clueless and stupid  if I were ever to encounter one! H and I are waiting to have kids, we just don't want any yet. We love kids, but we know now is not the right time.

If you ever get the change, do step.. or combat... or pump or fow. Ack they are all good. I love my gym. Bodystep makes you feel like the most uncoordinated person in the world for the first week or two.. lol.. but then it's addictive and you can't not go. I do that 3 times a week, combat twice a week(because they just cancelled a class ) pump usually once a week (that's like.. weight training.. I love it because it kinda gets rid of those last little trouble places and firms everything up ) and flow anywhere between 1-3 times a week (depends on my mood, thats pilaties/yoga/thai-chi fusion)  Good stuff.
 
What are the curves classes? I wish I worked at a gym.. that would be a amazing.. I would have loevd to join curves but FI and I wanted the same gym. I stopped working out in the gym area unless Fi is around though because we have a few trashy girls that ruin it for the rest of us and make all the dousche-bag guys under the impression that we all want to be harassed and stared at while doing squats. gross.

hahaha 16 and pregnant.. right now I'm definitely watching Jerseylicious... I can't believe these people are for real.

Well, it depends on the Curves. Some have CurvesSmart which has this little keychain that you put in a little card reader and it tracks how many reps and at what resistance that you work out with. All the machines at Curves use hydraulics so that they are only as hard as you make them. That way someone like me who wants to tone up and lose weight, can use the same machine as say a 70 year old who's there to keep her mobility up. We work out at totally different rates and resistances, but on the same machines. We offer free weight management classes, Zumba classes 3 times a week, tanning, other fun stuff.. haha. I Love it!!
