We're doing the finishing touches on packing - we should be mostly ready to go by the time we pick up FFIL at the airport tomorrow night at 6pm. Then just putting stuff in our cars, in the storage unit, cleaning the house, painting over the already spackled nail holes, do the walk-through with the landlord, and turn in our keys!
So while doing all that, I thought I'd get a head start on the job search up north, and sent letters of introduction to a few temp agencies. Well, glad I did! I actually ending up getting two job offers for long term temp positions! One is infinitely better than the other, as I have no desire to go back into sales. So the winner is...
A position as a Sr. Human Resources Specialist with a truly awesome corporation right near my parents' house! Whoop whoop! Annnnd I'm making more than I made at my job in Miami, which is a pleasant surprise, most especially as we don't have to pay rent so it will enable us to put a LOT into savings! Annnnd I get to start literally the first day we're back! So I won't even go a full month without work!!!
This is a really great opportunity, and a really great position working with really great people for a really great company. I'm super excited!
