How was your weekends? Anything fun?


I was in my friend's wedding so I had wedding stuff Friday/Saturday. The wedding was nice. I kept being put in that totally awkward position because people would ask about my wedding and I felt like I shouldn't take away from her day by talking about my wedding, which was fancier than hers. I didn't want to be boastful and be like "Oh yes, we had a horse and carraige take us back to the most beautiful hotel in town"  when they were just going back to their apartment.  

And then on Sunday was my neice's 1st birthday! It was fun and cute. It was baby year in my family and there were lots of little ones.

Over the weekend, H got some news that could possibly make our time together a bit shorter...which was like getting hit with a brick... but hopefully it is just a rumor.

Hello.

My weekend was good. It really started on Thurs. when we went out with H's classmates to celebrate the end of midterms. I was DD, but had a freakin BLAST! Next day I called out of work because the stupid vaccines I had to take for the Nicaragua trip made me sickkos.

Saturday was a chill day, and Sunday we went to the IE Foodie fest, which was 40 gourmet food trucks. Amazing, delicious, and funnnn... I had lobster, spanakopitas (SP?!?) more lobster, Argentina food (lots of chimichurri) and cupcakes galore. Oh, and margaritas Good times.

I am sad it's Monday... I was enjoying not being at work I need to figure out mother's day presents for my sister and MIL... I am so stuck

Hi guys My weekend was great. I went shopping and got some new work clothes and a new dress and shoes for my RD. Today I'm back at work then my sister has a BM dress fitting and were getting our marriage license!

Amanda, I hope it's just a rumor!  Try to to worry about it for the time being (I know that's easier said than done.)

CAB...totally jealous of the food fest.  That sounds like a great way to spend a sunday!

My weekend was boring because I just studied and wasted time on the internest while I should have been studying.  BUT, today is awesome because I took my last final and I am officially done with my undergrad!!!!!  It's kind of a weird feeling, but I'm very happy to have some free time now.  I went to lunch with my friend and had a couple beers (11:30 am...judge away!).  Now I shall watch a movie and/or take a nap.  YES.

My mom called me as soon as I was done to tell me that as a graduation present, she is taking me on a 'spa retreat' in a few weeks! It's one night and  includes a few meals and more spa treatments than I could ever imagine having in one day lol.  I was very surprised and touched because they've already done so much by helping me pay for my education and helping us out with the wedding.  I'm so excited...I love hanging out w/ my mom! 

Okay, I'm done being giddy.  Hope you all are having a great monday!

Hello!  Not to brag, but it's still my weekend!  I took Thurs, Fri and today off or else I would have lost my vacation time.

This weekend has been amazing.  I've gotten so much stuff done.  The only downfall has been that I haven't had a voice since Thursday.  So I sound like a man.

I got to babysit my 1 year old nephew this weekend while my brother, sister-in-law, and parents went to a wedding.  He is so stinkin' smart.  He almost makes me want to have children.  Almost.

Gah! This semester is almost over!!

I'm really excited and planning dinner right now for FI and I. We have really improved our communication as of late and things have just been so great. I may post a poll later asking you guys which dinner idea is better. :P I can't decide, and lord knows when you're hungry any decision regarding food is a tough one.

As for this weekend...I'm still catching up on Mad Men, and my god! Things are getting GOOOODDDD!!!

I also got to see an amazing lightning display when a storm rolled through Saturday night. I was at a friend's place right on Canyon Lake and got to see pink and green colored lightning when another wave of the storm passed through in the morning.

I'm almost done with work for today and then it's off to get some lunch (possibly meet up with FI at one of the little food trailers) and then go grocery shopping for dinner tonight.

As sad as it is, I am more worried about H, I have family and friends here to help me but H is feeling pretty down about the whole situation and some of his immediate famiy isn;t the best support system for him.

Amanda: Is this his first long underway, why is he feeling so down? A rumor is just what it is until the official word has been put out, so don't worry about it. There's no point in stressing yourselves out over rumors. In some cases, yes, they are true but I just try to push them off until I hear the official word on it. 

I actually just got back from a long drive, about 6 hours!! I had a blast this weekend, went up to Jersey to visit my sister and her family because it was my niece's 1st birthday too! It was a lot of fun, I also got to see my grandparents since they were visiting as well. And one of my BFFs/BM was in NYC for a week, so she came out to Jersey to see me as well. The weekend was over too soon though and now I am tired from all the driving I've been doing!

Kara -I think it mostly is the fact that he had to leave right after the wedding, and while that is fine and he didn't really have an issues with that; when they were told that they may not be returning on the expected day it was ...uhhh...a little dissappointing.   


On the bright side! I finally signed for my apartment which is like 15 minutes from work. Goodness I am going to loooove not having an hour commute...

I had a not so wonderful morning.... and it wasn't exactly what I needed to prep for the big test that I had this afternoon, but thank the Lord I passed with a B. That's a huge weight off my shoulders... I can now spend the time left before the wedding finishing up my DIY stuff that I've postponed in order to study!! I can't wait to be married

I spent all weekend packing for out move. At first I was excited to have H help until he leaves again but then I saw his pack job.... not going to lie he is a terrible packer. lol I'm eager to be in our new place already, I have big plans

I started my new job today- as expected it was a cluster since the place has been without leadership for 2 weeks. I had hoped to get volunteers in but no one showed. Although H spent his lunch helping me out which was awesome!
