JT at the Ball

Clicky story, Justin Timberlake looking all cute in his tux. I wonder how the night went with him there; he said it was very moving. Was anyone at the Marine Corps ball in Richmond?

I posted about this on MN. I'm annoyed she changed into a dress, and I wonder what her primary MOS is that she promotes even more slowly than MH. And she only has her good cookie, but no star. I'm very curious about how long she's been in and if she's been busted down. I'm weird like that.

You know what's strange, I hadn't read that but I wondered if she'd change into a dress to make it more hollywood, if that makes sense....

I don't blame her for changing into a gown at all.
Double standard that the military allows it for women and not for men? Sure. But hey, it's allowed so she didn't do anything wrong there IMO.

That's so awesome that he went with her!!! And he does look SUPER cute in the background with his tux.

This was really sweet of him:
He went on to say, "I have to tell you, it's not every day that I meet a 23 year old girl and she's more worried about if I'm having fun or if I'm comfortable! It hit me all of a sudden that these were the type of people that look after us and our freedom... Humble, concerned for others before themselves... This was the type of person our Marine Corps was building. I was really blown away."

    I Love this!!

On a semi-related note: This morning in my math class this woman (she's probably in her late 40's, and super obnoxious in the first place..) was recapping her weekend, to no one in particular.  She had gone to some conference with the school and it happened to be in the same place as the MC ball for Camp Lejeune, MCAS New River and I'm assuming MCAS Cherry Point would have been there also.. Anyway, she was like "Oh! those Marines were so rude, and rowdy and obnoxious, and the wives were obviously really slutty".  She was making lots of generalizations like all Marines are stupid and are only in the MC because they can't get "real" jobs, Oh! and that their Spouses are Hoars.  She went on and on for like 5 minutes.  I was fuming, I'm pretty sure that smoke was pouring out of my ears.  After a few minutes of this my teacher was like "<Insert obnoxious woman's name here /> That is enough.  Not only are you being offensive to me, but I can tell that Sami here is pretty upset herself.  Why don't you ask her what her H doesn't for a living? Ask her where her H is right now and about the last time she saw him".  Then the woman had the nerve to say "Sami what does your H do?" I just rolled my eyes and said "My H is a Marine and I'm his skanky hoar wife.".  I seriously wanted to hit her in her ugly face.  Not even for the generalizations or comments about the spouses, but more for the comments that she made about the men and women who volunteer their time and sacrifice months on end of time with their families, all to ensure the freedoms of Aholes like her. Ugh!!

LOL the first thing I thought when I saw a picture of the two was, she was in a ball gown. No joke.

When I attended Ring Dance at the AFA I saw a lot of Cadets in ball gowns -- it upset my H. Not because he didn't want to wear the uniform it was more the lack of respect for the uniform they showed by not wearing it and I agree.

It was at the beginning of class so everyone was settling in and stuff, our teacher wasn't even in there for part of it..

Oh man Sami, I'm so sorry. WOW.
I would have been LIVID. I would actually file a complaint report against the teacher if I were in that situation.
This pisses me off so much. I hate how people think that people join the military because they couldn't get any other job or didn't want to go to (or weren't smart enough to go to) college. WTF?!
Yeah. We're a giant military superpower of a country because all of our servicemen/women are a bunch of idiots. THAT makes sense.
ESPECIALLY now, with how picky the military can be. A friend of mine told me her loser, unemployed (because he's too lazy to get a job), uneducated (because he's too lazy to finish his GED), weed-smoking brother wanted to join the military.
I said GOOD LUCK. He thought anyone could get in.
    Guess who didn't get in?
    shocking.

Wait, FTL, why against the teacher? It was the adult student making those comments. The teacher stopped her.

I think that since my school is at closest like 2 hours away from the nearest base, people think that no one would be affiliated with the military at all.  Not the case. I know at least 5 other girls who are AD spouses who's H are deployed or stationed overseas.  I just wish people would think before they speak..

</div><div>I think you, your H, and I would get along just fine.</div><div>
</div><div>It being allowed isn't the point. Being proud of the uniform you wear is the point. Why any female would want to look like just a date at THEIR birthday ball is something I will forever be confused about. She wants to wear a gown? Go be someone's date at another unit's ball. Dresses/tuxes are for dates. Uniforms are for bloody Marines.
