[QUOTE]It's actually more hygenic NOT to make your bed. True fact!

I like that reasoning - why is that?

I'm sure we neutralize the hygenic aspect, though, by allowing our dog in bed with us!

    Hiking
    Favorite fast food
    In&Out
    Dream job
Officer of Marines, and specifically in a FET
    Decorating style
I don't even know how to answer this. I have a Fly Marines repro poster, a George McGovern campaign poster, and Russian anti-Nazi non repro posters on my wall right now. So, I think my style is cool. BH&G would disagree.
    Favorite kitchen gadget
My very fancy and very large Kitchen Aid that I got in Marine Corps red for college graduation
    Favorite flower
    Bleeding Heart
You can keep this one a secret if you're not comfortable: republican, democrat, or independent
I'm a Truman kind of Democrat. I like things like the Marshall plan, making tough decisions in war that stop island hopping and the deaths of hundreds of thousands of service members on both sides and millions of civilians.
    Bad habits
Talking dumb people to death. They stop listening around sentence two.
Favorite place to get French fries
Hmmm. I don't like In&Out's. Carl's Jr. has some decent ones. I still call them Freedom Fries. I'm never letting them (the Republicans) live that one down.

    I hate Dave Ramsey
  • Favorite summer time activity Hiking :)
Favorite fast food? Probaby subway- anything flatbread even though it's awful for me, I'm sure. lol
Dream job MLP (Advanced practice nurse)- either Neonatal NP, Nurse Anesthesist, or Nurse Midwife... haven't decided yet.
Decorating style I like clean and simple. I like purples, grays, and blues. (stolen from hike... love it!)
    Favorite kitchen gadget Croc-pot! lol
Favorite flower hmm, IDK- I love lots of flowers. Probably lillies.
You can keep this one a secret if you're not comfortable: republican, democrat, or independent Republican
Bad habits I pick the skin around my fingers.
Favorite place to get French fries I don't eat fries unless I make them at home- I don't like the mystery aspect of what they fry them in/with. ick.

  • I've seen news clips and stuff about why not making your bed is more hygenic. Here is an article from the BBC that explains it well!

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/4181629.stm

CN: microscopic insects thrive in moist places. Making your bed "traps" the moisture for them to thrive more easily. Leave it un-made, and your bed dries quicker!

I get that....but  my first thought was that I don't normally wake up in a pool of sweat, and I'm having a hard time convincing myself that my bed needs to dry after I get out of it... haha.

You don't need to create a pool of sweat. Your body naturally has moisture. Think about it, your skin gets dry and cracked in cold weather, right? So it has moisture, and loses moisture.

FI is always a pool of sweat.  We definitely need to leave our bed unmade, it's decided!

Oh, and Stan and Sammy, not that you ladies need to be taking fitness advice from my fat butt, but at Crossfit they have women do jumping pull-ups (basically  negative pull-ups) and then use a really big rubber band that we stick our knee in to take some of our body weight.  I started out not being able to do jumping pull-ups, then was able to do a few with the band, and then eventually could do 2 (OMFG) on my own!!!  So I'm a fan of that!

That is understandable to dislike them for the aboive reasons...

But the bolded part has to be hersay...I work with the HR department at my work on a regular basis so I have to know some HR laws...And I know That is completely illegal to ask marital status in any part of the hiring process.. THey are a fanchising company so the management at certain stores may be breaking federal laws...but I'm pretty sure if the company as a whole had those hiring practices they would be in big trouble.

Similar reasoning as to why I don't donate money to Salvation Army.
    image
  • Absolutely. It is hearsay because ive never tried to get a job there but if many reports are of this, then I don't trust them. But I think it's like being pregnant. Yes you can't not hire someone based on being pregnant but they can become "not qualified." http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/30/us/30chick.html?pagewanted=2

You can keep this one a secret if you're not comfortable: republican, democrat, or independent: I grew up in a blue collar family, dad had a union job, both my brothers are in unions, and my sister is in a union. I am also pretty liberal, so there's that. So, democrat.
