Military Brides

Mid-week vent....

Ready? Go.

My 2y.o. cat has a cavity and is getting a dental cleaning/ cavity taken care of tomorrow. FI has been feeding the cat people food ever since he's lived here. Kind of want to hit FI up for $$ to help pay for the vet bill, which isn't gonna be cheap. When I told him the cat has a cavity and he absolutely HAS to stop feeding the cat people food, he got upset. Because that is the main way he and the cat "bond". I'm glad they like each other, but if this cat keeps eating people food and needing expensive dental care every 2 years, I'm going to go BSC. I think I've concluded that FI is in denial.

Sigh. Anyone else?

FI just found out today that he's suppose to leave for San Diego a little before our wedding.
And be gone for a few weeks.
    Ie, during the wedding.

@ LOL Get cat treats!  He can bond with the cat by still giving it food but food that won't hurt it or cost lots of moolah!

@FTL OH NO!!  Sorry to hear that!!! That has got to be frustrating...  :(

WELL My lovely, lovely dog decided to dig a hole in the yard when I let her and the other one out!  I let them back in and she was covered in mud!!

Ah, the military once again throws a curveball at a bride!  I'm sure you'll handle it with grace and style, FTL.  And with any luck, it will not be an issue after all.  This is what military clauses were made for, huh?  Though obviously with 46 days to go, you do NOT want to be calling up everyone you invited to re-do the dates!

FTL I hope everything works out for you. I got paid today so I have to buy my plane ticket home so I can do my physical and paperwork for my officer's package since my recruiter here ended up not doing his job correctly. I hate spending money the same day I get it but I also hate dipping in to our emergency savings so this is the lesser of 2 evils I guess.

aw bummer Sammy. You can't work with a different recruiter in your area?

Well, good news on my end. My fat-people-food-kitty got his teeth cleaned and the vet didn't end up needing to pull the tooth. So, hopefully that bodes well for you too, FTL!!:)

Yes. Now I am going to get him a platinum grill or something so we don't have to worry about it again.

He may also start releasing hip-hop albums. Lots of purrs will be involved.

I could but FIL has worked with the guy in PA and knows he has a good reputation. He has been honest with me and corrected bad info that I recieved from the recruiter here, and it took him literally 3 hours to schedule my physical. Basically I trust this guy and I don't want to go through the hassle of feeling like my recruiter isn't taking my application seriously again.

Sammy, I'm glad you're sticking to your guns. There are crappy and great recruiters out there, and it's great that you did find one that was a good fit for you:)
