Anybody around?

I know it's a Friday night and all... I'm hanging out at FI's parents' house tonight, so we're crowded on the couch with his 5 year old cousin watching Kung Fu Panda 2. It's fun except that I've been up since 4 and I really just want to go to bed. Tomorrow FI swears into the Air Nat'l Guard too, he's excited/happy about that. I'm happy for him, and also happy that I don't have to work tomorrow.

What are you ladies up to tonight?

I'm here.  Just watching TV and having a few drinks.  I took a break from unpacking today.  I had lunch and margaritas earlier with 2 friends from E which was a lot of fun.  Hopefully I can do the same soon with Kara and Binx!

Yeah I'm really loving our house and the area we're in.  I can't wait for H to get here though.  I still have a lot of unpacking left to do but I'm taking my time with it for now.  I have my kitchen, bedroom and living room unpacked to the point of everything I want out I have.  I will work on it more this weekend too though to get my bathrooms done hopefully.  My parents are coming down a week from Sunday and I can't wait!  They want me to save some unpacking and jobs for them to help with when they get here so that will be awesome.

Sounds like you're doing pretty good with the packing! At least you should have out all the real necessities.

I'm doing good, just staying busy with school and stuff. I feel like school is pretty much my entire life these days, it's a little annoying.

I am here. Sitting here on FI's couch watching some CIA show he was watching before he fell asleep because I am too lazy to reach over for the remote. Thinking about just leaving soon. Mel- I don't think I could make it through Kung Fu panda wide awake let alone sleep deprived. Haha Beach- Glad you're getting some unpacking done and also having fun! It is nice that you can take your time.

Spiffy, that would be why I'm playing on TK/Facebook. And listening to the boys have a burping contest. Sigh. I can't tell if this is a sign that FI will be a good dad one day, or just shows that he can still act like a little boy. Haha

Mel- haha sounds like he'll be just fine! Irish- I'm jealous of the date! When margs' are involved it is always a good time.

We hadn't been out in so long, it was fun!! Now tomorrow is crazy cleaning and cooking for Superbowl. Yuck. 

Mel, how's surgery going???? Have you passed out yet?!

Haha, thanks Irish! And no, no passing out yet!!! Yay me! I did get a little woozy once, but I'm blaming that on standing under the lights for a 7-hour vascular surgery with no food. Yeah, I was a brilliant one that day.

ETA: yay for date night and margs!

Good, yay!! I mean, not the no eating thing but at least you're probably learning stuff? Seeing some people get better!

Oh yeah, I'm definitely learning a lot. I'm working at the VA hospital this month too, which is pretty cool 'cause I like all the people I'm working with. The only problem I have with it is that the hospital has no WiFi and my cell gets almost no service there, so it's like I'm cut off from the world 12 hours a day.

PS: is it sad that a 5-6 year old is having no problems staying up later than me? I feel like it is.

Ha.  No.  I just got home from FI's.  I'm about to fall asleep but I'm forcing myself to stay up.

Haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one! FI laughs at me all the time about falling asleep so early. But still, I'm struggling to stay awake, so I think it's about to be that time!

Is anyone still around?

I just got home from hanging out at a friends house and watching the Thunder! Yay! we won! I'm not a huge fan of basket ball, but my company is a corporate sponsor for the games, so we get free tickets all the time. I didn't win tonights tickets, but I did have  fun hanging out with a friend I haven't seen in a while.

FI is at a bar... drinking... I called him a while ago and i don't know what the reason was for... some people leaving? I don't know. Some sort of going away party...

I'm up - we went out with a friend for pizza and played some games. I'm just catching up on some work and trying to figure a few things out from last year - always fun.
I hope everyone's having a good night. FI is passed out in bed and I'm debating on starting on laundry, I'm wide awake so I might as well take advantage of it.

Ya! This weekend is no bueno cuz a) I am super sick and germy and b) FI comes home today from his 5-week training in NV! But perhaps next weekend??

Mel-My Mom worked at the VA there for over 25 years. Not that it's super relevant, but I just had one of those "it's a small world" feelings.

I just got back from helping my friend look at florists, cake bakers and photogs and had a lot of fun. For a long time I've been kind of resigned to not getting engagement photos, but after looking at this woman's work, I think both FI and I would really enjoy it. Plus, it'd be nice to have some good photos of us not in wedding attire, so maybe when he gets back we can get some done.
