Good Morning Friends!

I'm in a foul mood.  I told my boss at least 17 times that I have to make my tuition payments on the 5th so could she please make sure that she does our paychecks (She's supposed to do them on the 1st btw, but we never actually get them until between the 4th-7th) so that the money is available by the 5th.  So here we are, Jan 5th, and I still have no paycheck.  Which means that when the school tries to get money from my account they won't be able to and they'll take me out of my classes.  Classes that mind you, I just got books for yesterday that were $550 (H paid for 2 and my dad paid for 2).  So I'm pretty freaking furious & stressed out because with my luck, they'll kick me out of my classes and then I won't be able to get back into them...  The whole thing just makes me want to cry and I have to go be Miss Mary Sunshine at work and I don't want to.. I just want to crawl back in bed and pull the covers up over my head.

Anyone else have any rants or frustrations today?

Oh my Sami. I'd be pissed. Who can you talk to about this, other than your boss? A national company should have no excuse not to pay you on time.

Actually, Curves is international, but because they are franchises, it's up to the owner as to how&when to pay us.  Our members pay us on the first and the fifteenth, so usually we get paid shortly after.. Its just the one time that I was kind of dependant on the money.. of course it's late.  I'm going to call USAA again at like 0830 because that's 24 hours from when she said she transferred it..  fingers crossed!!

As an aside though, one of my members brought me chocolate cheesecake this morning, so it's done a lot to improve my mood!!

Oh Sami, I hope it gets fixed and that you don't have to be kicked out of your classes. If your pay doesn't go through though, have you thought of any other back up? How about charging it to a CC then just pay that off when you get paid?

That's what I'll have to do Kara.  It bums me out though because I don't like to have big things on my CC that I can't pay off... KWIM? Like I'll use it to buy gas or something, but then I turn around and pay it right off..

That's why I will never work for a franchise again. I have had awful experiences as a customer and employee. boo. I'm sorry Sami Should they kick you out, you can talk to your professors about it and wheny ou get the money, they can manually enter you back into their classes. It's a pain, but doable so try not to stress

I know exactly how that is, last semester they screwed up with my information and then kicked me out of two classes...I was really ticked off, but like FTL said, it can be fixed. So sorry that your boss puts you through that though, that's hella frustrating.

Oh Sami I'm so sorry! I understand exactly how you feel, my previous boss would do this to me all of the time and if we ever recieved our checks on time, it was always used to threaten us. Good vibes going your way. I really hope she gets this taken care of for you soon so it doesn't affect your classes. It's super frustrating and really upsetting when money you've busted your butt for is being kept from you and is messing up other things.

No real vents today, just dealing with family drama (on my side) and trying to help find a way to resolve it. It's frustrating having to find things out and trying to help when you're so far away. But.. it's life and that happens.

My rant is that I can't sleep. 

My back has been hurting me so much lately, that I can't sleep... Sleep deprivation has made me just feel sore all over, cranky, and unable to focus for the first week of classes... and I know that lifting at the gym and putting more muscle on my back helps a lot, but I'm so freaking exhausted from not sleeping that I can barely walk straight so there's no way I can make it to the gym to work out. aaaahh catch 22. THe past two nights I said eff it and tried to sleep on the ground, but that didn't even work. 

H's father is a psychiatrist so he gave me these samples that aren't out on the market yet. They are pads (kinda look like those sticky heat pads by thermacare) that you put on whatever spot that hurts and it puts Motrin directly to that spot for 12 hours (instead of taking some orally, which gets distributed to the whole body and wasted). It's really cool and works so well but I don't have one left so I want to use it sparingly. H is going to call him and ask if he has more that he can send because they are fantastic and the only thing proven to help. Until then... *le sigh*

My newest rant (It's going to be one of those days) is that my email has been acting up for days now and it's really pissing me off!!

Call the school's financial aid and the registrar's office.  Let them know what's going on.  Hopefully they'll be willing to work with you to delay pulling the money from  your account, or pull some now (what you have) and the rest in a week or so.

FI had issues with his loans starting law school - Sallie Mae messed up big time, and I spent a large chunk of time over the summer on the phone with them to sort it out.  The only reason he was still able to go to school was because I also called the school and they were willing to work with me.

I have a lot of rants.  Mainly I am very tired because FI and I got into a huge fight last night about random stupid things. And we both said some very mean stuff (mainly me being very mean..but he was really bad too) Anyways, I apologized to him, but he hasn't apologized yet.  I was also have a very bad day yesterday because I found out my Mom's dog Tinkerbelle may be dying, and some how my sister pinned it on me ( She fell out of my hands and landed on her head, so according to my little sister I dropped her on her head) So, I was dealing with that, when Fi and I started tp fight.

Anyways, I'm tired and I feel bad for what happened with Fi and I last night, and I have my final observation for student teaching today, so I'm really nervous. but I want things to be better with Fi adn I before I teach. (sorry if that is long)

OH Sami- BOO!!!! That really sucks big time.  Here is hoping that everything gets worked out.  I would agree with others about talking with people at the university.  At my current place of employment (a university) they are very understanding and will make sure that classes are not dropped for students that have contacted them directly. 

FTL- no sleep sucks big time and makes me the worst person to be around.  I really hope it gets better. 

No rants here just waiting for all of the students to arrive which is tomorrow.  Move in day.  Oh and then of course Orientation Day on Sunday as well as Walmart day.

Dani - I'm really sorry your sister pinned that on you. I hope you know that you had nothing to do with it, accidents happen, she's just probably emotional and is trying to place blame somewhere and chose you - which still isn't right. Hugs!

I called the school, and they said they'd put my name on the list to pull after 5pm..  The good news is that my paycheck finally hit my account!! So hopefully it's all good. What a relief. Yay!! I'm sure it helps that my dad works there though

Dani- I'm sorry you're having such a rotten day! T&P's for you that it all gets better soon.

No rants for me right now. Just chillin' at the hospital during my "reading time" this morning... hopefully I'll find the motivation to actually get some reading done!

My only rant is that I have a headache that I wish would go away. I have a bad feeling I might be getting sick because I fell asleep at 10:30 last night and while I feel rested, that is a bit early for me and I forgot my lunch and I don’t want to leave the building to go get something.

Sami – That is good that they are going to do it later. I hope your paycheck hits your account!

Dani – Sorry about the fight! FI and I had a fight a few nights ago (and we NEVER fight), and like you I said some pretty mean things. It is all good though, I don’t know if you are long distance, but for us a lot of the fights come from long distance but I just have to keep reminding myself to keep my eyes on the prize and this distance will soon be over.

Yea, I hadn't watched it in forever either! But I was in the living room flipping through the channels and I saw it was on...my goodness it was worse than I remembered!                                 Ouch, :( well I hope the pads get to you so at least it won't be as bad.

Yikes that sucks, FI has a herniated L5 and it causes him a ton of pain. I'm not sure what exactly is the issue but I know he gets the epidural steriod shots and they've helped, or at least help for about a month. I hope the pain goes away for you soon.

TK rant now - is anybody else having problems with posts showing up out of order? I've had it set where the thread with the most recent reply is on top of the list, but it isn't doing that anymore. Ugh. And I just tried to update my sig, but it won't show up either! Grrr.
