Marrieds!! Talk me off the (hypothetical) ledge!!

Ladies, I pick up my wedding dress tonight since I'm leaving early Tuesday to head up to CT. It's pressed and everything so they don't let you try it on. My final fitting was almost a month ago and it was definitely snug--like too much pasta would make it too small. I've been consistently watching what I eat, work out like I normally do....but I'm just PARANOID that it will be next Friday morning and it won't fit.

Did anyone go through this nonsense?? Am I just being a freak and it's fine? Gah.

    You'll be fine! I promise.

I was the exact same way. She took it in a month before the wedding and I had a hard tim breathing but it "fit". I was good about watching what I ate and it fit fine.

I can't believe you have a week! Yay!

You will be fine.  I felt the same way.  The photographer got a picture of me throwing my arms in the air and yelling "WHOO HOO" when the dress finally got zipped up.

So Happy Wedding Week to you Irishcurls! Enjoy your week leading up and all of the fun times you  are going to have.  Remember, the day goes by so fast.  I took just a few minutes with my mom and the girls to take in how special the day was and how happy I was going to me.

A piece of advise, have one of your girls always suck a mint that way she can blow in your face and prevent the tears from falling to bad and messing up the make up!  Laughing

I had one fitting about 2 months before the wedding, then picked the dress up about 2 weeks before without trying it on. It fit fine, and I had even gained a few pounds. Just drink lots of water and cut out sodium for the few days before the wedding.

I'm not married but I'm afraid of the same thing. My dress is supposed to be ready 1 month and 1 week before my wedding and she's already letting it out 1 1/2 in. Hopefully I'll be able to keep the weight off!

Irish, I 'm sure you're going to look beautiful! Try to relax and enjoy this last week!! That's so exciting :)

Yeah I didn't think of that either.  Just picture my surprise when one of girls said "hand me a mint...I have to make sure that my breath doesn't smell bad becuase I am blowing in her face."  HAAA!!!! It was a sight...come to think of it, I have a picture of that too.

I like to say- if in doubt, bust out the Spanx!  I think those things are a godsend!  Don't sweat it though, if you have faith, all will be well.

Do you know anyone with a steamer? I tried my dress on even after it was pressed, we used a handheld steamer to get out any last mintue wrinkles the day of.

If it is really bothering you, I would try it on. Just make sure you not wearing make up, JIC!
