So I really want to make a donation to a charity dear to my FI and I such as the Wounded Warrior project instead of doing favors. I figure no one really cares whether they get a favor and end up throwing them away. I want to put that money to a good cause. I'm going to put a note at each table at reception letting our guests know the donations were made in their name. How would you do the wording for that? I was thinking "In lure of favors, we have made a donation....". Does that sound weird?
