Ok, all the Sept 2011 knotties are talking about The Nest now, since TK tried to shove us all over there right after our weddings. And I've lurked a pinch and posted once....but since I'm still sort of new here, I'm not sure how to go about posting on Military Nesties....do I intro? Hope I have a military-wife related question soon to ask? Just roll in like I own the place?

I'll probably just keep lurking.

I lurk over there, and I've posted a few times, but it seems like a really tight knit group and it seems hard to break into.. At first because I was one of the only married ladies.. Me, and Beach really were I think the only married regs on this board at that point.. I felt like I was supposed to go over there, and I did an intro, and asked a few questions.  They seem like a great group over there, but lots of babies, and lots of pets and that that point I didn't have either. Now I have a cat.. but I'm pretty happy over here, so I think I'll keep lurking..

I'm the mod on MN.  Just go post an intro and throw your question into the same post.  For instance:
Hey Ladies, I'm Irish.  H is in ____ branch.  I am a <insert job />.  We  were just married ___ weeks ago.  Can anyone tell me how explain to me how an FRG works and how I go about getting involved?


I do recomend you find a post I have posted in and click the button that links to the MN FAQ page.  There is a ton of info there that may help you out.  Don't be scared to post.  Most of the ladies there are really cool.  They will only crawl your tail if you are beebee ish.  I think you'll be fine.

I don't think I will... I think I will stick around TK for a bit until I fizzle and die out.
If we kept our sept 11 board over there I might consider it... but since we lose that, eh. No thanks.

MN is wonderful generally. It's my home board, has been since I started posting this time, and to be "accepted" you just have to post. Same as anywhere.

Oh, I forgot to add I started posting there because I was lurking here and the mod made me insane. She talked about wanting to join the military to earn ribbons because she was in girl scouts and really enjoyed that aspect. :O

Yeah I slowly started posting over there, but not until a while after i was married.  It's a pretty tight group.  I did an intro, but I think I did it on like a Friday night and hardly anybody posted in it.  But I just started posting in threads that I had something to contribute, and then went from there.
