Wedding Gift

Hi all,
FI's BFF is in the Army and is getting married at the end of the month. I have no clue what to get him and his FI as a wedding gift. He will be stationed overseas for the next few years and I'm not sure whether his FI will be moving with him or staying at home with her parents during the duration. What would be an appropriate wedding gift? They aren't registered anywhere and since we've been such good friends for a long time, I want to get them something other than cash.

I think the best thing you could get them is a gift card.  Are they going on a honeymoon?  Do you know where they are going?  Maybe you could set up a couple's massage or a romantic diner for them. 
If they are moving soon, the last thing they need is more stuff to have to get somewhere.  I would get them something from BB&B, World Market or something of the sort.

You could do a giftcard or cash but if you want to something else personal, you could do a nice blanket or something with their new married monogram on it:)

Jackie that is a GREAT idea!! I wish that we had gotten something like that. We went the registry route and now I have 6 place settings of dishes sitting in a closet in my in-laws house. I personally believe that monogrammed things are AWESOME!!!!! I got a set of towels with my initials for Christmas a few years back (Luckily they stayed the same!!) and I got hubby a set that match mine but with his initials. Also, maybe a Picture frame!! They don't take up alot of room and I'm sure they'll have lots of pics to choose from after the big day!! Let us know what you decide!!
