The stars at night are big and bright :clapclapclap:...

Deep in the heart of Texas. So, found out that next stop is San Antonio. Probably right after the new year. It's gonna be a tight schedule, but so it goes.

He found out Friday, but only through the computerized notification system. He doesn't yet actually have orders, so it's really a projected date and we can't start finishing our lease here or any other paperwork. My worst fear right now is that the computer is telling him to be there by a certain day, but the orders won't be cut before Christmas or New Year's, and we'll have to really scramble. He's had problems with it before, he'd get notified that he was scheduled to go to IFS, go nuts getting everything together, and then not get the orders so he couldn't get a plane ticket or travel.

That happened twice, and I'm worried it's going to happen again because of the holiday crazy and no one's going to want to get it together. He's talking to his command today to see if there are actually orders or not, and when they might come it. I don't want him to miss the start of his new school and have to wait for the next one to start. Plus, it puts a bah-humbug on the Christmas plans and he may not be able to take his leave, which I hate. And yes, this is what we signed up for, and yes, it could be worse, and yes, I think everything will be fine. But that doesn't mean it doesn't suck a little.

I love San Antonio.  H went through a 12 week school out there a couple years ago.  I went out there to see him twice.  He's going again for ALC soon.  I'm planning a short trip out there toward the end.
I hope they get all the orders straight for him.  I know it's nerve wracking.

OOooooh, I've heard really great things about San Antonio!!!  Congratulations!  Trust me, a quick move isn't *that* hard, the toughest part is packing and unpacking.  If you know you're going somewhere, you can start packing up.  You can do it!!!

Hope it all works out! At least you know where you're going, even if the "when" isn't completely certain yet.
