Boutonniere question

Hi, I have a question that I hope you girls could answer.  My cousin who is a Marine will be home for my wedding.  He will be the only military person in our wedding party and he will escort my mom down the aisle.  He wants to wear his dress blues, which is fine with me.  My question - do I provide a boutonniere to him if he wears his dress blues? TIA!

Thanks for that question! I had the same one.

So, no boutonniere then? My fiance is wearing his dress blues, as well as 4/6 groomsmen. The other two groomsmen are my brothers who are NOT in the military....do I have my brothers wear one or no because no one else is? But then they'll look so plain next to the studly military men! Help!

Yeah, I'm planning to have a boutonniere for our groomsman who won't be in uniform. Tuxes are so different from uniforms anyway I'm not at all worried about trying to make him look like the other guys!

Fi and I have joked that our wedding should be outragously patriotic-themed, so we've been saying we're going to get an Uncle Sam costume for him ;) Then he would definitely stick out among the uniforms! (Our other thoughts include a marching band providing music and a bald eagle flying down the aisle as the ring bearer)

Thanks for answering my question!  BTW, I have so much admiration for all of you.  I can only imagine how hard it is to be separated from your FI's for so long.  You girls really make a sacrafic for our country, and I am grateful to you.
