Dress Blues Shoes

This might be the most ridiculous question ever haha
I'm about 5'6, my FI is probably about 5'8ish...I want high heels, specifically these ones http://www.heels.com/womens-shoes/senorita-pewt-ice-crystals.html
They are 4" heels so I'm wondering how much of a boost the dress shoes give that go with USMC blues (idk if all branches have the same shoes). My FI is deployed right now so I can't ask him so hopefully one of you ladies can help :) I just don't want to look like the jolly green giant next to him.
And yes, I know the shoes are a tad ridiculous haha my best friend has made fun of me non stop since I showed her haha but I love them.

They are basically a man's dress shoe, it has a raised heel like most shoes.  They aren't going to make him 2 inches taller though.

If you don't want to be taller than him, then I'd start looking for a different pair of shoes.  Do you really want to wear 4 inch shoes all day for your wedding?

My DH is always shorter than me, so I got flats. Specifically these flats:

The dress blues shoe really won't make that much of a difference. Plus, thats alot of time on 4 inch heels.

Yep, if you want to go with 4 inch heels you'll definitely be taller than him. But if you're super in love with the shoes and the height difference wouldn't bother you much, then you may as well go for it! Having some comfy flats around would probably be a good plan too, in case they start killing your feet.

Make sure your FI won't mind you being taller than him though...

My H and I are both 5'8" and I was afraid of wearing heels for the wedding.  Then I realized how silly and superficial of me it was to worry about something like our height in pictures.  I wore about 3 and a half inch heels.  H always puts insoles in his dress shoes that act a little as lifts.  The way dress shoes normally are cut bother his ankles, so the lift of the insoles helps.  So you could look into some insoles.

But honestly, wear the shoes you want.  I got high-heel flip flops to change into for the reception so that I wasn't tripping over the hem of my dress.  I have lots of pics in my bio.  Take a look and see if you really notice the height difference, because no matter how many times I look at my pics, it has never been something that has crossed my mind.
