Military Brides

Brides Across America Question

I'm going to start with I'm not a military bride(I am a recent Navy SIL and have a Marine brother by another mother) and was wondering about Brides Across America.

I'm trying to do some research on places to consider for donating my wedding dress. I noticed that Brides Across America accepts donated gowns. Not to make assumptions but I just figured this would be the most likely area to find a bride with some knowledge of the group. I know there are a few charities out there that would accept my dress but this one would mean a lot more to me.

I did some cursory internet research and I haven't found any negative reviews (different wedding boards and sites.)

Thanks!

I'm not 100% sure if they do or not, but you could always check Operation Homefront as well, I'm pretty sure they do.

I have heard a lot about Brides Across America, but I don't know any that have used it (mainly because the stores to get the dresses are in select places, and I have never lived anyhwehre near those places, nor do I know anyone in those places)
I think it's a really sweet cause, though. I have seen it on lots of shows like Ellen, Today, Oprah, etc. so I know it's legit.

Yeah, I checked out their website to see if there were any places nearby, and they are all actual wedding stores. Not one used dress, all are designer dresses that are donated.

I thought that too. My SIL is getting a dress through them this week. I found this link http://www.bridesacrossamerica.com/Donations.html on the site though. I'm not sure if they actually give the dresses to brides or if they sell them? I have to hurry up though because my dress is already I think 2 years old and was a designer sample.

I'm going to look into the other group you mentioned though. Thanks!
