So Inappropriate

I was just looking at the H's ship's FB page. Someone posted their sailor's full name and picture and stated that he committed adultery while he was away! I know it's a very complicated and sad situation but I just think that it is so inappropriate to post this on the ship's FB. This is a personal matter and could even bring down morale for others. Here's her quote: 

"We support them the best way we know how,just for them to return home and find out they committed Adultery"

    Thats sad. and not okay. I would send a message to the person who posted it asking them to take it down. Or even post on it publicly. Sometimes the only way is to embarrass someone publicly 

    Thats just as bad as an aunt of a fallen marine bashing the wife of that marine on a page that was meant to celebrate him

    It's not just childish, it's immature. Would the person have posted that if they weren't  in the military? I would never post personal info about mine and FI's relationship on facebook. It's no one else's business if we had a fight or not.


    Sidenote: I have a friend on facebook who for about 6 months was posting every other minute about her relationship with boyfriend, ups and downs. She is now engaged to the person.


    I hid her on my newsfeed.

    I have learned that some military spouses are just a completely different breed.  It disgusts me how much dirty laundry people share on FB on a regulara basis anyways.  But that is ridiculous.

    I share the same thoughts as you ladies. I don't know whether this person is the wife or not, but this is just too much. A private matter such as this should nowhere be on the internet! I replied to the post and asked it to be delted, and like you said Beach, it will most likely be. Hopefully they see it soon, I know the day is just starting there. The post has been up since this morning though.

    There's something about the internet that turns some people in 14-year-olds. Or maybe that's the way they behaved already and just no one else saw it? Trashy, tacky, tasteless indeed.

    Honestly, I just don't understand how some people use Facebook to air their dirty laundry.  Deal with personal matters at home, don't take out an advertisement in the local paper!

    When I have children, they'll be taught how to use tools like Facebook and such without acting like 6th graders with a penchant for gossip.

    ugh... I'm so sick and tired of some of my fb "friends" like one chick's status is always ALWAYS something like this (copied from her fb but changed letters in the curse words to post):

    That's ridiculous.. Some people have no class..

    I was talking to one of our members today at work about the stereotypes that Military Wives face.. She was shocked. She said "I have nothing but the utmost respect for SM's and their SO's. I know I wasn't cut out to live that lifestyle, but I'm glad that there are women strong enough to love, honor, and cherish the SM's that protect our freedoms". I cried.. I thought it was super sweet.. So Yay for us!!! The not trashy, obnoxious, "glamorous", bonbon eating, weight gaining, inappropriate fb posting, Military SO's.

    Although I agree that the post was immature and childish.  The guys do it to.  Like when they send pics of their cheating wives around to EVERYONE.  These people all just need to grow up!
