1 less hurdle! Yay

FI met with his squadron "scheduler" for a lack of a better term to discuss rearranging his schedule for the wedding. (Last time the schedule came out the Friday before the wedding was clear, not so much anymore). She was able to reschedule all of his commitments the Friday before the wedding except one. He just heard back today that he can skip it.

YAY! So he can officially spend all day Friday getting home. I was worried for a bit we may have to move the rehearsal really late in order for him to be there. Alas now I can move on to hoping for clear weather and good airplanes! :)

My RL friends think I'm crazy for being excited that he is coming home 1 day before the wedding, but they don't get the Military so I figured you ladies would share my excitement LoL

    Yay!!  That's awesome!

Haha my friend is coming out to visit this summer, and H could possibly be leaving the weekend she is here for a few weeks for exercises.  She felt horrible for booking it, thinking we would want alone time if he was leaving, and wanted to reschedule, and didn't believe me when I said it was NBD.  Clearly only a military SO laughs at being apart for a few weeks.

Yay for you guys! It's good to hear about this kind of stuff, though. Now I'll know what kind of complications to worry about once I start actually planning our wedding!

I got so used to my dad being gone for six months at a time that when he went civilian and got a job that involved a lot of travel, I wouldn't even notice that he was gone for a trip. My mom would mention that he was coming back in a couple of days and I would turn to her and go "...how long has he been gone???" Of course, that may have more to do with general obliviousness than the fact that I grew up in a military family... ;)

His BM and GF are planning to come visit this fall.. We are pretty confident he will be deployed by then. At which point his buddy said it was NBD they'll hang out with me. She is cooler anyway (kidding) but FI was really bummed they were just as excited to visit me as they were for him.

Everyone keeps giving me a pitying look and saying, "Oh honey, you'll get through somehow" when I tell them that FI will be gone all summer.  I just shrug.  It really isn't bothering me at all.  Sure, I'll miss him.  But I mean, it's part of the territory, you know?  My choice is to have my wonderful amazing guy who I love and trust in my life, and if that involves giving him up for a few weeks or a few months once in awhile, whatever.  I don't have to worry about him at all - he'll be doing law stuff on base, so the worst that will happen is a paper cut!

Yay for him getting to come home a day early!  I'm so glad he was able to rearrange his schedule!!!  Your wedding is coming SOOOOO SOOOON!!!

Thanks Ladies.. I asked him how he was able to skip that one class and he said 'Don't worry about' I then had to remind him if he goes A Wall and they come capture him at the wedding I will never forgive him.  LoL

Calindi - It gets better! You should see the look on ppl's face when I tell him he is going straight back to base the Monday after the wedding AND we wont live together until 3 months AFTER the wedding. Even then the chances of him deploying are pretty high. I just keep telling ppl I would rather him deploy now before I get use to living with him or actually having him around. LoL they usually just mumble I'm crazy and finally walk away or drop it.

Sami we are getting close! My MUA emailed me saying its almost MAY! 5.5 weeks. I can't believe how fast time flew after we flipped to 2011. I don't mind at all since all my projects are done (except escort cards)
