For a large chunk of my childhood I wouldn't read anything if it didn't involve horses - I probably read every horse book in the local library! After I got over that phase, I was pretty into the Animorphs.

I still remember my "Please and Thank you Book" and "Best Story Book Ever". I used to watch The Busy World of Richard Scarry too.

And wishicouldbeinthe'stan, I loved From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler! I wanted to be them.

In elementary school I loved the Ramona Quimby and Junie B Jones books. Of course BSC books. R L Stein and Shel Silverstein too!! Sideways Stories from Wayside School... haha these are some awesome memories :)

Edit: I'm trying to remember this series of books I used to read... I think they were from the 1970s or 1980s and they were about a middleschool aged girl with freckles and glasses and red hair I think. I'm pretty sure she lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts. They were popular books and there were a few in the series. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
