Oh gosh, really?  I couldn't ever pick just one.

If you twist my arm, I'll say the Anne of Green Gables series, but I couldn't select one - all 8 books have to go together!

W.E.B. Griffin's series The Corps. Shocker. Also, One Bullet Away: The Making of a Marine Officer (the platoon commander of Generation Kill fame wrote his own version, and while I like GK, Captain Fick's is better).
    I hate Dave Ramsey

Ok, I could never pick just one. I have sentimental favorites, Jubilee Trail by Gwen Bristow, it was my grandmothers favorite book, so all the girls in the family read it.

    Pride and Prejudice
    To Kill a Mockingbird
Going to Childrens books I loved A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'engle
For the joy of reading, I am a Pat Conroy fan and H just bought me an autographed copy of The Prince of Tides for my birthday :)
I also enjoy a lot of historical fiction.

Basically, when I moved down to SC, I had to condense my bookshelves. I brought down 7 boxes of books. I easily could have brought 7 more, but it was just not feasible at the time. I miss some of the books I left home but I will probably replace them as needed. I brought my favorites and my classics down.

I have a bunch that I enjoy but a few favorites would be The Fountainhead, Girl With the Pearl Earring, All Quiet on the Western Front, and We Were Soldiers Once..And Young. IMO the last book is so much better than the movie, even though the movie was good.
