Gifts for the Honor Guard?

Hi ladies,
I was wondering if any of you planned on giving gifts to your honor guard?  A friend who was in the honor guard for 5 years told me it's not common practice, but I feel like it would be a nice thing to do, budget permitting.  Should we get coins (and if so, what kind.... FI is a captain, so giving custom coins isn't really an option).  I thought about gift certificates to a restaurant or something.

Thoughts?

H is a Captain equivalent (03, but that's a Lieutenant in the Navy. I know, weird) and we didn't have an honor guard at our wedding, but I would honestly, just get them a few pizzas and soda/redbull so they are happy and filled.
Also, your H may not have a coin himself, but his command does. Get those! Our squadron's command coins are cool and can be picked up at the NEX. I'm sure yours is the same. I think it's a really nice gesture.

Are they all the same branch?  For ours, we're going to get them all custom glass steins (you know, like the German beer pints) with their branch's logo carved into the glass on one side (we're having a mixed honor guard) and their rank and name on the other side.

For some reason I was thinking OP was talking about younger kids, like high school... lol. maybe scratch the redbull, insert beer :P bahaha

You can get custom coins made, even for second lieutenants. But I wouldn't do that, I'd get them something like http://www.beermonthclub.com/.
