Go-to Hangover food?

The Friday thread made me think about this and I am curious what other people's go to hangover food is?

During College it was a Double-Quarter Pounder with Cheese from McDonalds. Super terrible for you so it was a good thing I didn't drink much.

However, if we went to our regular bar it was a Turkey sub from Jimmy Johns since it was next door.

(thus why we had mini silders and sub sandwiches for our late nigth snack at our wedding :) )

Ugh, me and hangovers are not friends.  I usually want a Burger King cheeseburger with pickles and ketchup, but they don't start serving lunch until 11am, and I usually wake up super early when I'm hung over.

When I was in college, this place in the basement of my building made amaaaazing bacon, egg, & cheese bagels, so I'd get that with a huge red Gatorade (it's the only Gatorade I like) and crawl back into bed, taking 2 Advil before passing out for a few more hours.  Or Pita Pit - I'd get chicken, lettuce, tzaziki sauce, green peppers, and a few other things wrapped up in the pita deliciousness.

    Pizza- the whole thing HA!!!

There is always this pizza place that sales by the slice.  I always get one that night for a preemptive strike and two slices for in the morning.

My ritual to prevent hangovers are slice of pizza, two goody's head ache powders, pepto and water.  This really has never done me wrong.

I swear that I eat everything in sight the day after a really fun night out.  I mean coming back from New Orleans I ate at every airport we had a layover.

I don't drink much anymore, and when I do, I rarely drink enough to get drunk (my dad is a recovering alcoholic. Hasn't had a drink in almost 30 years. So I try to be careful in case I got the gene). But anywayyyy... If I do have a hangover, I MUST have a steak, egg, and cheese bagel from McD's! Something about all that grease...instant cure! If it's past 10:00, then a double cheese burger will do!

I don't drink too heavily anymore - maybe a glass or two of wine a week and maybe a margarita but when I do drink my go to hangover food that has never failed me is a Sonic BLT combo - must have the tot's. Cures it within the hour :)

watered down gatorade and a banana.
I HATE bananas, but putting extra potassium in your bod helps clean up toxins or some crazyness.. unfortunately it works well.. blah!

I am never in the mood to eat the day after.  But if we are out drinking, which is seldom anymore, we usually stop at McDonald's on our way home to kinda soak the alcohol up.  It usually helps me feel better the next morning.  I get a mcchicken and a medium fry!

For awhile, we used to order bacon egg and cheese sandwiches, large orange gatorades, and sprites from a deli that delivered. (H and I still joke about that). I don't really have go-to food, but I definitely need sprite. I don't know what it is about it, always makes me feel better (granted, I haven't had a drink in months now).

Yes!  I was massively hungover on Monday (I got accidentally drunk on Sunday - I didn't plan on it!  FI got a real kick out of it, because I kept saying, "I'm wasted" over and over the whole drive home from the bar where we were watching the Pats game. I need to learn that "free drinks" doesn't mean I have to drink them!) and I drank Sprite all day.  I think the carbination helps settle the stomach and the sugar helps combat the headaches and general exhaustion of a hangover.

I need sour candy, like a warhead or something. It distracts me, and I forget about the nausea and head spinning. Also, I need spicy food, or soup. Man, do I love soup. :) It's really hard for me to eat while hungover... so light and spicy is the way to go for me.

Not many of you will even know what I'm talking about, but I have to have Cookout (I'm pretty sure they're only in NC), the order (drive thru.. duh) usually goes something like this:
CookOut: WE'RE HAVING A GREAT DAY HERE AT COOKOUT, HOW MAY I SERVE YOU TODAY?!
Sami: by not yelling at me!
CookOut:I'M SORRY MA'AM WAS THAT A LG TEA?
Sami: Make it a huge sweet tea, extra ice, and a big double with cheese, ketchup, & pickles, regular fries.. And whatever the shake special is..
CookOut: THE SPECIAL TODAY IS PEANUT BUTTER, CHOCOLATE FUDGE CHEESECAKE.
    Sami: sure, fine, whatever...
CookOut: THAT'LL BE $4.59, AND IT WILL BE OUR PLEASURE TO SERVE YOU AT THE WINDOW

It's like they know I have a hangover, so they are EXTRA loud, perky and over friendly so then I feel like an a$$ when I grunt my responses... But it's pretty much the best place ever in the world.  Every Friday before work, if I've done all my workouts and had all my water for the day, I get a sweet tea with extra ice... I love ice, and they have the really really good ice.. you know the crushed ice... Yummmmm

Mmmmm sweet tea.... I'm a real goner for southern cooking.  If we move to South Carolina next year like I'm  hoping, I'm going to gain 30 pounds in the first month.  Mac 'n cheese, barbecue, sweet tea, mmmmmmmm!

I'm going to be greatly disliked after this -

I used to drink a lot in High-school (yes I'm a horrible person) and college (BA). Now I don't drink as much, but I don't get hung over. never have had one ever *hides behind large piece of furniture*

I do get cravings when I get drunk which takes a good bit of work, but when it happens it is usually:

    1. beignets (french donuts for all that don't know) probably a really bad drunk/hung over food since you get powdered sugar everywhere if you cant concentrate right.

    2. Rallys/checkers whichever you have fully loaded fries - so bad for you but i jsut don't care at that point

    3. and pizza - lots of pizza

Oh man I never used to get hungover, and then I got older. Then the hangovers got bad. If its a particularly good night out, like my last night out with my best friend in Buffalo, I felt it for 2 days. I actually had my go to hangover food today. Double cheeseburger, large fries and chocolate shake from McDonalds. Works every time.
