Military Brides

Dear TK...

Please unfu*k yourself.  This glitchy thing is driving me nuts.
Thanks,
Sami

W(h)ine-y Monday anyone?

I spend a stupid amount of money at Hobby Lobby today and I just want to stay at home and craft and drink some wine.. Instead I have to go to a recognition ceremony with my boss... I'm tired because the store was out of my regular brand of melatonin so I didn't get restful sleep, and I had weird Stephanie Plum/Twilight dreams last night for whatever reason and woke up craving a TastyKake...

It's always a double edged sword isn't it?  But you will be near me! So we can meet up somewhere (Savannah, because it's awesome), and have a good time!

I can't remember, is your H deploying soon after you get there?

Ohh, I just found out H is on trail crew. HE was also on advon crew, so he left earlier than everyone else (well him and like 2 others) and now he is on trail crew... so he comes back later than everyone else. Sure it's only 2 days, but I'm whiny today so it annoys me.

Also, I need someone to come over and drink wine with me and force me to be crafty and do something. Why do none of you live near me!

I boycotted TK today mostly because it was so screwy and confusing.

I'm not feeling whiney today... still floating on the clouds from finding out that we can leave 3 months earlier than we originally thought!!!

Hmm... the one thing is that it's frustrating that Sasha cannot be left home alone.  She literally panics.  The last time, she ate through a plastic gate.  We're going to have to leave her in there for a bit tomorrow since I can't bring her to work with me as I have to attend a meeting, and FI has to leave for an hour or so, and we're going to have to barricade the kitchen to make sure she stays in there (she isn't well behaved enough yet to have the run of the house, so it's safer for all of us if she is stuck somewhere where she can't hurt herself or any of our things).

I think I'm whiny because it was rainy here all day, I didn't feel like working, I'm tired, (and pmsing), and then H told me that. Obviously he wasn't gone that long and such, but I feel MWAR. I think I just need wine. I don't have any though. BOO!

Cal-I don't have a dog, but I know people have used the Thundershirts for separation anxiety issues. I know you can't have one by tomorrow, but maybe look into it?

This isn't a whine, it's more of an anxiety.  I got a little drunk at our work christmas party on Saturday night and then I got the flu yesterday and today.  I called in sick to work today and I'm kind of anxious to go back tomorrow.  All the people I was hanging out with at the christmas party were drunk as well so I doubt anyone will say anything about it.  I know I didn't do anything to make a fool out of myself, I was just a lot more outgoing at the party than I am at work.

I just feel really stupid about it because I very rarely get drunk.  I just don't want people to think I'm always like this.  The doctors just kept buying me drinks and I am really ashamed of it.  I shouldn't worry about it, but it's been bothering me all day.

sami- What kind of crafts are you planning on making?

ggirl- Sorry he's coming home later than expected :(  It's different if you knew all along that was when he was getting home, but you had a particular day in mind, and now it's been pushed back.  I'd probably be a little upset as well.

Cal- I wish I could help you with the separation anxiety, but I don't know enough about puppies.  I hope you find something that helps though.

ugh yes please! A HUGE glass! :o
I'm so exhausted from my final.. seriously.. 4.5 hours is way too effing long for that crap without any breaks... It was suppose to be TWO. TWO HOURS, but because no one was scheduled to have the room until later that day she decided that it could be longer.. thaaannnnnxxxxx....

I think all the stress built up+ wayy too much coffee/Redbull from weekend studying has now just released itself. I have a horrible headache and it won't go awaaaaay.
Regardless, I'm going to Step tonight.. I need to. It's time to kick my butt in gear! And I'm super motivated this season! I think the sweating will help the headache, too. It usually does.

We have H's squadron Christmas party this Wednesday, and he's the MC, which means I get to sit without him the whole evening... how lovely.
And I can't even get drunk because the next morning I have a dentist appointment to have him tell me that I need a root canal/crown.
Yes. Awesome. drugs for meeeee!!! lol

*end whine* *needs to pick up wine* :]

Sami- boo for not getting to craft, but will the ceremony at least be nice? Is it for you and staff or for clients?
Sorry that you didn't sleep well :( That's sucky. I still need to pick that stuff up! I keep forgetting so thank you for the reminder... not that it was in a good way for you :/ boo

ggirl- boo... It's just one of those days so let yourself be whiney! and wine-y :] I am in the boat with you! H has a night flight with a buncha Navy Seals tonight so I won't be seeing him until tomorrow I think. Silly men and their working.... We should skype-wine it ;) haha!

spiff- eh, I know how you are feeling, but I bet tomorrow when you go into work you will feel MUCH better. You didn't do anything, they were part of your drunkenness, and drunk as well. Don't let it bug ya... Easier said than done, I know, but I bet after 10 minutes of being at work and realizing that no one thinks any less of you, you'll feel 100% better about it.
Sorry you've been sick, though :(

I went to 3 different stores looking for stocking kits. (like this) and NOTHING! Michaels finally failed me. It makes me whiney because it's really cold and windy so to keep getting in and out of my car for nothing sucks.
  • edited December 2011
I could have had such an excellent evening, but No!! That damned ceremony lasted 2 hours!! On a brighter note though, our team came in third out of 70+ teams, and we were one of the smaller teams too! Some teams had almost a hundred people, and we only had 30.  One of our walkers got an honorable mention (She alone walked like 645 miles), our team walked over 4,000 miles in 8 weeks.  Woot Woot!!

Anyway, now it's 10 and I'm starving, but it's 10 at night so it's like, I can't cook anything, I don't really want like a Lean Cuisine, but I'm hungry!!! Also, I'm getting sick, which sucks... I took some AlkaSeltzer cold/flu PM (because nyquill doesn't have a decongestant and that is what I need!!!) and I have so much stuff in the car that I need to go out and get but it's rainy out.. bleh.

Also!! H just found out that pretty much as soon as he checks into his new command, he'll probably deploy.   I'm just never going to get to be a Newlywed...Frown I guess on the bright side, though, I don't have to feel guilty for staying in school here and only being a weekend wife.

I have been avoiding TK too because of the glitches.  It drives me nuts that with a site so big and so popular the IT department can't get their ish together.

D day is getting very very close, so we have that looming.  And we are still stressing about the house just because VA makes you jump through hoops to use your loan.  We basically have to sign over our first born child to them to get this house!

Ggirl, I've never heard of a Thundershirt, but I googled it and it sounds great!  I'm going to see if we can gently train her out of it, but that will be a great tool to try if we can't manage on our own.  Thanks for the tip!

I don't. I also don't want any right now. Our apartment is only 700 sq feet so there is not a lot of space for a dog, and we could do a cat, but no place for a litter box.

I told H when we get a bigger place we can get a dog, if we can find a dog we agree on which will never happen.

Are you getting excited/anxious to move??

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Dear TK... : I know that feeling.  7 years of teaching and dealing with school districts and layoffs and what not, and it's basically always a game of hoping and praying.   More than likely they'll go with someone who has been subbing in their district for a while.  Which stinks for you, but when you've been subbing for a while you'll definitely be greatful when they are loyal to their subs.  I wish you luck either way with the job search.  Hopefully you live in an area with a good supply of jobs.  Back in NY it was pretty standard that you have at least 3 years of subbing before getting a full time job.  Sorry, I probably sound like a giant debbie downer.  Haha teaching can definitely get to you though, and I'm not looking forward to starting the whole process with a new school district when I move.

</div><div>That's okay. I need to have reality checks. I think right now, the game  for teaching looks pretty good. I don't know what you all know about what is going on in WI but a bunch of teachers have retired due to our gov. getting rid of collective bargaining rights.  Many place are actually short subs because of all the open positions, and there are quiet a lot. So, even if I don't get the one I'm applying for now, I know there will be others. </div>

Ugh, I am so nervous for this test I have to take. I still feel like it's an overwhelming amount of material. It's going to be interesting to study and take these tests as rapidly as I need to, but still to retain all the info I'm learning. (you guys are probably tired of hearing about my school, but it's literally all I've been doing all day long... and it's going to be staying that way for the most part until the end of February. Ick.)

and I miss FI. I wish he was here just to sit with me while I study :( I can't wait to not live 9.5 hours apart.... which makes finishing nursing school that much more important, even though it sucks... I love learning, I hate having to learn like this though.

finally, I am upset because I have no junk food; and because wine isn't condusive to studying.

<div>I don't remember what kind of command he is checking into.  Is it a ship or a sub?  He should have a sponsor though, who should be able to give him an idea of their deployment schedule and how soon you can expect a deployment.  If he doesn't have a sponsor he can contact the command to get one.  Or you or him can call the Ombudsman and they should be able to give you somewhat of an idea.  Obviously nobody can give specific dates, but even if they say it's not expected for a few months, or we'll be deployed when he gets there, it would be helpful.  </div>
