Any fun and exciting plans for today/the rest of the week? Today is H's birthday so we're going to go out to dinner to Bonefish. I can't wait for their Bang Bang Shrimp.

YAYYYYYY GGIRL!  I missed you and so excited to hear all about it!  Spill all the details (when you can pull yourself away from your husband - ahhhh! - for a minute!)

Nothing exciting for the rest of the week, and that in and of itself is exciting. 

At work, I'm trying to make up things to do right now because I've kind of done everything I can do at the moment, but he wants me to "work on marketing".  You mean the press release I wrote that you haven't reviewed?  Or the Twitter page, which is ridiculous for a company like ours that is targeting B2B sales, yet I already created and have been 'tweeting'?  And I merged the Twitter accounts with our LinkedIn accounts, but you haven't done anything yet with yours?  Or all the presentations that I have already "Americanized" from their British originals that you haven't reviewed yet?  Or the proposal that I redrafted and branded with our logo and "Americanized"?  WHAT ELSE CAN I DO???!!!!  And furthermore, what the heck have you done, Mr. Boss?!  Oh, besides take credit for the press release I wrote and the Twitter accounts I created!

My new job is for a business intelligence company that focuses on talent research.  It's sort of like recruiting, except we won't interview anyone and we won't hire anyone.  We just identify people and provide that information to our clients, who can do with it as they will.  It's an existing UK-based company with offices throughout Europe and Asia, but this is their very first US office.  And it's just me and my boss right now.  And we don't have any clients or projects yet, so I'm not actually able to do what I was hired to do (research) and instead am trying to wear various hats - at this point, I have assumed the position of HR Director and Marketing Director and PR Consultant and Business Development Manager.

H and I are having lunch with a elderly couple that is friends with a family friend back home. He is retired AF and his wife apparently was the poster child for AF wife, so I'll be taking notes LOL. jk. but I will be taking mental notes. If they are anything like our family friend it is going to be a blast.

Right now I am eating breakfast, listening to the rain and wishing I could snuggle H or my dog all day.

calindi- did you see "Friends with Benefits?" Mila Kunis has like, the same job as you. Super cute movie btw, worth seeing. Gratuitous shots of Justin Timberlake shirtless/ otherclothesless is a big perk too haha.
