I use an RGB cable from my laptop to the television.  It does depend on how old your television or laptop is though.  It has a seperate cord with it to attach to the audio inputs on your tv and one for your laptop headphone jack.

You would have sound, you would have to add the slide show to your SD card, not just the pictures. It would work, but it might be more complicated than plugging your computer in with a cord.

As far as which cords to go with, just look at the different ports on your laptop  and see what would fit.  Chances are the TV is new enough that whatever you buy will work.

Now I have a real vent: The guys downstairs are grilling again (I don't think they know how to use their stove, they grill pretty much every night) and it smells so awesome.

I'm mad because we aren't allowed to have a grill, you can only have one if you live on the first floor. But your "patio" area on the first floor opens directly onto the sidewalk (your little storage room is right there too) which means your giant sliding glass door in your living room is literally 2 feet from where people are walking/parking, no little fence or bushes or anything, so we didn't get a first floor. I know it's the better choice privacy-wise, but I regret it every time I smell grilled pork chops.

OH my gosh, I hate this!!  A few months ago I went hiking on this mountain and I took my dogs with me and they were both on leashes and as I was hiking this trail there was a family I ran into that had a pitbull that wasn't on a leash and he kept coming up and challenging my dogs and of course they were going nuts.  I was having to try and control my dogs because some idiots didn't have their own dog under control and the people kept getting pissed at me!  Unfortunately they were going up too and I got to the top and I just like to chill out at the top and rest and this dog kept bugging my dogs.  It was ridiculous!  There are signs posted all over that say you have to keep all dogs on leashes.  grrr...

I was observed today during my student teaching - a it was my first day back from being sick, b- i made up the lesson plan by the seat of my pants and c- I have a cough form being sick(still not 100% but had to go back to student teaching.) I was marked down because I have a cough nad the cough is distracting. 

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What part of I spent the beginning of the week in a hospital bed and still have a fever but I was told to come in do professors not understand?!

Y'all all that technology talk made my head hurt!

FTL & Hike- have either of you seen "The New Girl", that whole thing reminded me of this weeks episode.

My vent is that i have a test in my online class tonight, and it's 9:34 and.. ugh I just don't want to do it, but it closes tomorrow and noon, and we have to start by 9am otherwise it will lock up and not let you take it because it thinks you won't have enough time (uhh.. really?) I'm sleepy so I don't want to do it, but then again, I want to sleep in tomorrow (Cause it's saturday!! who wants to get up early and take a test!).  Ugh, I need to just stop b!tching about it and just do it.. And then reward myself with some Oregon Trail on FB.  (Side note: FTL- Stop Wandering off!! I am tired of spending days looking for you!!) Okay.. Test time! Wish me luck Ladies!!
