AW: My dress!

I went to try it on and still LOVED it! I would like to lose a bit of weight still, but it fits me like a glove for the size I am, which is great. The length will need to be shortened a bit, though. Even if I don't lose any weight, I'm sure I'll still feel beautiful in this dress.

I didn't have my sash with me, so that will be added. I'm wearing a necklace and earrings that I bought for myself for my 21st birthday while living in China, so it has significance for me. And it looks beautiful with the gown, so I may just wear those!!!

And yes, you will feel beautiful if you lose weight or not, trust me on that one, because I didn't lose like I wanted to, and I didn't even notice haha!

I can't see the earrings that well, but the necklace works great. I definitely say wear them.

The earrings have the Chinese character for "luck" (it's pronounced "fu") and a drop pearl. I always wear them for job interviews since I feel like the "fu" is good karma. What better reason than that to wear them at my wedding??? Plus I think they're pretty!

Necklace is freshwater pearls, meaning imperfect (not round, more flat). It's three twisted strands. It's one of my favorite necklaces - it's stylish and makes a statement without being over-the-top. Very elegant, I think.

Sami, next time I go (gah, I wish I knew when that would be... I can't believe it's been 4 years!) I will buy DOZENS. That necklace was $10 and the earrings (stainless steel - never hurts my ears) were $12! I negotiated them down to $15 for both.

I like that there are 3 strands of pearls, too - to me, it represents past, present, and future generations.

But I'm a sap like that!

Thanks ladies! I was super happy with my dress, and am still majorly excited about it. It was even upgraded! When I bought it, Pronovias was using a coarse tulle. Now they're making the dress with more lace pieces and a nicer tulle (so much softer) and charging several hundred dollars more for it. However, the store owner told me that she upgraded mine for free because I had written such a nice review on Yelp.com! So awesome!!!
