I may be overthinking this.

We have a super small wedding and no wedding party. So we aren't having any ceremony music. Do we just have the officiant say something before I come down the aisle? What should he say? Our officiant is a family member that got ordained to officiate our wedding so he is looking for some wording advice if this is the way to go. Thanks!

I've been to 2 weddings where there was no ceremony music and they just started.  It was very awkward.  I would suggest some music, even if it's just on an ipod.

I've been to a simple wedding where there wasn't a bridal party and an ipod with some speakers was used. There was some music played while everyone took their seats, once the officiant walked to the front people began to pay attention. Is your fiance seating anyone? that's a pretty good sign as well. I would definitely suggest some music tho..
