Military Brides

Invitations..

Okay we're getting married in November (On Veterans Day). He was active duty in the Air Force for a while, and now he's in the reserves. When we get married he's gonna be in uniform. How would I word the invitation? Would I Put Captain before his name? And would I put that he's in the air force reserves? It's not completely a military wedding I guess, but I guess I'm not sure what comprises a military wedding?

It's your choice to include his title or not.  The proper way to title a captain would be:

    Captain John Smith
    United States Air Force

I'm not really sure about the Reserves though. Sorry!

    Both Posters are right...

It's up to you and your FI if you include the AF at all. We didn't put rank or branch on our invites. The military was our job, but our wedding day was just about us. We had touches of military and our respective branches, H wore his blues, but it was our wedding. It's up to you about how much or how little you include the military in your wedding.

agree with both posters, but that's only if you are really wanting to...
FI is going to be in his dress whites for our wedding, and all the guys in the military that are coming will be in their dress blues, but we're not putting military names... just gets messy in my opinion and I would screw it up over and over :P (although it looks AWESOME for true blue military weddings)
