Monday morning...

Morning everyone! How were your weekends? Do anything fun? We spent the weekend unpacking. Most of our house is now organized! I love having our stuff and hopefully next time we PCS, we not have to go 10 days without it.

I went to watch the game last night at a friend's house and I brought over a feast - jalapeno poppers stuffed with sausage, cheddar, smoked seasoning, & cream cheese and wrapped in bacon; sausage & pepperoni stromboli; brown sugar chicken wings; buffalo hot wings; buffalo chicken dip; onion dip with veggies; and dark chocolate bacon cupcakes.

The party was mostly people who didn't actually care about the game, or who were rooting against the Patriots because it seemed the 'cool' thing to do.

People who hadn't even be watching the game, whose voices I had to tune out to actually watch key plays, were cheering when the Giants won and they then tried to console me.  I probably pissed a few people off because as soon as the Pats lost, I just stopped talking to anyone or acknowledging anyone.  Try to give me a hug after you're cheering simply because my team lost, not that you even care if the Giants won?  No, I don't want that hug.  Now if Irish or Stan gave me a hug as friends after a fair battle, I'd take that, but it's cuz they actually CARED if the Giants won or lost.  And they actually watched the damned game.

Anyway, CEO is in town this week.  I got an early start on the day to be working hard when he shows up, but I probably won't be online much this week at all.  And next week I have jury duty, as well as the following week.  So here goes 3 weeks of mostly absenteeism on here. Sorry ladies!  I'll miss you.

If anyone was curious, the OCM is going amazing.  My skin hasn't looked this good since I was 16 years old.  It's starting to purge a bit, but it's not bad so far - basically just bringing stuff to the surface, but it still looks amazingly clear.  If you look closely at my forehead, you'll see bumps where it's purging, but it feels very smooth and moisturized and supple.  My chin has cleared out about half of the blackheads that are there, and my nose feels like a baby's bottom.  My lips are rid of all the dead skin and super supple and smooth.  My eyelids and undereyes are smooth and look fresh.

Seriously, this stuff has worked MIRACLES!  And one of my favorite things is washing my face now.  I only do it once per day, in the evening, but I look forward to it basically all day.  With the tea tree oil, it smells soooo good!  And I'm loving the sunflower oil - I'd highly recommend it.  I much prefer it over olive oil, it's more viscous and washes off easier.  It's like a mini-facial every night.  It's pretty much amazing.

Good morning! My weekend was full of ups and downs. Of course I was sick, so that wasn't fun. And then right when I thought the congestion bit was clearing up, Saturday I woke up feeling like someone beat the $hit out of my face.

Also, I haven't been able to taste anything since Thursday. I have decided that if I had to choose between being blind, deaf, or losing my sense of smell/taste, I would definately choose blind or deaf. Honestly, if I couldn't taste anything for the rest of my life, I would get so depressed. I love food. It sucks to only be eating JUST to live, and not for the pure joy of it.

But then FI came home Saturday night after being on the other side of the country for 4 1/2 weeks! So that was nice.

Yesterday I woke up still feeling like someone beat the $hit out of my face, so we went in to urgent care. The doc is calling it an upper respiratory infection, and said the infection is sort of "attacking" the joints in my face, which has led to a TMJ situation. And that explains the pain, jaw cracking, slight hearing loss, headaches...

So now I'm on antibiotics and pain killers. And now I am happy and my face does not feel like someone beat the $hit out it :)

  • Oh Binx!! I hope you feel better soon and that the medicine they give you gets you back to 100% fast.

We had a nice weekend. Friday we went for pizza with my BM and her husband and went back to their house and played games. Saturday was a quieter day - just cleaned the house (I didn't get to bed until 3am on Saturday morning and was up by 9am) and then finished up coupon clippings and did a small trip. Watched Hangover 2 finally - which I thought sucked. First one was wayyy better.

Yesterday we went over to FI's best mans house and watched the game with his friends there. I made buffalo chicken dip and we were able to catch up with an old friend from FI's last duty station.

That's really about it. I hope everyone has a great day. I've got a busy day with work so I won't really be on much. Hopefully everyone has a great start to the week!

  • I spent the better part of the weekend engulfed in wedding projects. I find I funny how (at least for me), planning all this stuff out was fun... But actually doing the DIY is a pain (I guess that isn’t that strange). I feel bad but I got a little upset with FI more than once this weekend, I feel resentful that he doesn’t have to do anything. But when his mom started talked to me about the RD, I told him to take care of that.  Even though I know he would have been sitting on the couch watching me put flowers together and tie ribbons..it would have still been nice to have him there. This is 2012…when is someone going to invent teleportation?

But on the plus side, I have my first fitting next week! YAY!

Oh Binx get well!  I just hate anything that is sinus related.  I think that is just the worst feeling.

This weekend was most uneventful.  The power was out at H's location so our weekly Skype date did not happen oh well stuff happens.  A friend of mine had a surprise birthday party and I went to that on Saturday afternoon.  She was totally surprised.  It was great.  I love when people are surprised.  I watched a little bit of the game but really was not paying that much attention to it.

This morning was great.  I got the all clear to go back to running and working out.  It has sucked not being able to do that for the past two weeks.  UGH!

    Any way Happy Monday!
  • Binx- that blows, I hope the antibiotics work and you stop being in so much pain. And are able to taste food!

FI left Friday, so it's just me for 4 months. It hasn't quite sunk in yet that he's gone and I'm not going to see him for that long, I think it'll hit me tonight at about the time he normally gets off work that this isn't a long weekend trip.

And my washing machine broke the day after he left. It just keeps leaking water, even though I have not used it and have turned all the water off at the wall. Just when I think I've got it all cleaned up, it becomes a huge puddle again. I'm going to call the maintenance here at the complex and see if they can help me. Otherwise, I'm not sure what to do.

<div>All this talk about OCM makes me want to try it sooo badly; I'm just so leery of trying it and then not finding a good formula/having a massive breakout at my wedding. Wish I'd read about it a little sooner :/</div><div>
</div><div>My weekend was pretty uneventful; got my hair trimmed.... worked a short shift in the ER.... My iPhone came! I'm waiting on my case to arrive before I activate it- hoping it comes in the next few days :) I didn't get much sleep (2 hrs total) Sat night, so last night I went to bed before the game was over. Lame, I Know. </div><div>
</div><div>FI and I really haven't had much chance to talk the past few weeks between his classes and mine.... so that stinks; he is coming into town this weekend thankfully; I'm just hoping that he gets enough of his coursework done that he doesn't have to spend all weekend doing nothing but homework.</div><div>
</div><div>Was up early this morning; we spent our morning here at work on a house fire. I'm going to try to spend the rest of the afternoon studying and also get a workout in. </div><div>
    </div><div>binx- hope you feel better!</div><div>

    Hey ladies!
We're back from the HM. It was awesome, had a blast, got a kick A tan and ate whatever and however much I wanted. :) Now I'm back to my first full week at my new job.

Sat. was a full day of travel for us and next time I'll be sure to take Cal up on her GTG offer. Sunday, H went to play paintball leaving me with all the laundry and unpacking. I really hate unpacking (coming from divorced parents it's exhausting). I would have let it go for a couple days but now I'm working full time I don't have enough time during the week. There is a new guy in H's squad that hosted a Superbowl Party and we went to that. We were the only ones without kids so it was a little awkward. I was also the only woman watching which I felt kinda bad about.
  • I had a fantastic day, even though I went to a party where NO ONE cared about the game besides me, my boss (a Pats fan), and another manager who is also a Pats fan. Everyone talked, people thought it would be funny to stand in front of the tv, and my coworker asked a decent offensive strategy question which my boss answered by saying, "I'd say that's the number one question asked by girls". So I corrected him later when he mischaracterized what an offsides penalty is to his girlfriend. I'd say that's the second most messed up man thing to say.

H and I skyped beforehand and actually had clear picture which is rare. We skyped before every playoff game, and I'm now of the belief that he is good luck when he's deployed. And much cuter than Zach Efron.
    I hate Dave Ramsey

    You're going to be begging him to deploy every playoff season!!!  <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif" border="0" alt="Laughing" title="Laughing" />
