I belong to a closed group on facebook, so yes only people who are part of the group can see the content. But I would think that people would still be smart AND NOT PUT THE ADDRESS OF THE NEW HOME THEY ARE MOVING INTO AND THE DAY THEY ARE MOVING INTO IT on the internet. Because, anyone can join a freaking closed group. It's not like I had to give blood to join the group. I clicked request to join group and I was approved.

I hate how people think that once you make it a closed group or make your profile private, that facebook is gonna take care of your profile not being seen, or your personal info. not being shared. The most common thing I've seen though is with pictures, not addressess. They make the profile private but forget to adjust the settings on the pictures.

I think that people feel way too secure with their 2 passwords for all 50 online accounts they have. Crazy dangerous.

Publishing your full birthdate on facebook is also dangerous. Or even the month/day because there's a finite combination of guesses to get the year right. That's one way that people recover passwords on websites.

I hate it, because every time someone gets inundated by Happy Birthday messages, it reminds me that that person compromised their internet accounts security. And that's basically every day.
