Blue mess dress with black tuxes???

Hi Ladies,
I'm new to this board but I have a question for yall. FI is AF and wants to wear his mess dress which is blue. But the colors we are thinking of are black, white, and pink so I figured his GM would be in the standard black tuxes. Is that going to look weird?

I know we could have GM wearing blue suits instead, but w/ black, white and pink being the colors I thought that would be even weirder.  Any thoughts??

    Hey there!
    My FI is in the AF as well. FI is wearing his mess dress and originally he was set on black tuxes. In the end he picked white tuxes for his guys (My dress is off white).... regardless of the color your FI is ment to stand out and the black and blue doesn't look bad. (I've seen a lot of pictures)

    My cousin's husband is AF and wore his mess dress to the wedding.  His GM's were in black tuxes.  They looked fine.  I really don't think anyone noticed the color difference.

    I agree with Sammy,  my FI and I are having the same talk.  He's in the Army.  I went to a wedding last Feb where the groom was in he's dress uniform and half the GM were in uniform and the other GM were in black suits.  It wasn't an issue.  They all looked nice.

I really would love FI to wear his mess dress (AF), but was starting to worry about conflicting colors/styles/formality. But I agree, those pictures pretty much told me that they look good with everything! </div>

    In all my years I've been to lots of military weddings.  I"m a huge believer that the uniform stands alone and can go with anything.  I have seen every color combo I can think of and I have never thought any of them clashed.  I've seen orange, yellow, pink, red, green, and purple that come to mind.  That's just on the girls side.

    I've seen black tuxes with different unforms and always thought it looked quite awesome and classic.
