Guess what I saw today?

You know how, at Walmart, a parking space in each row is taken up by a cart corral? There is that huge metal contraption that takes up THE WHOLE SPACE and you put your cart in it? Well, today a Walmart, someone used a cart corral parking space as their parking space. Their car was so far out in the parking aisle that people who were parked opposite of him or her, couldn't leave their spo. It also caused people not to be able to drive down the aisle. Stop being lazy America.

  • Lazy or stupid...one of the 2.  It's like the people who park in the handicapped spots when they don't have a placard or license plate...because they're not handicapped.

I wonder if they had to remove carts from the space in order to park in it? I'll admit that sometimes I've seen the metal guards start a little further back in the spot (not at WalMart, but at other places) and I think "oooooh a spot" but it becomes obvious once I get closer to it, I can't imagine pulling into one. What kind of car was it? I can't imagine wanting to scratch the hell out of my car for a parking place.

  • Divine, it didn't part in the corral, it started at the end of the corral. The corral was filled to the brim and outside of it with carts! It was also one of those crown Victoria long ass cars that fall out of parking spots anyway. Imagine this car parked at the end of the cart corral. Haha

  • Me too. I kicked myself when I came back out and the car was gone.

  • A smart car may have fit.  Those things are so weird.

Wow. Is all I can say.

I make sure not to park next to those things because it never fails they just push their cart over in the general direction and end up hitting the nearby cars.

I once came out to my car to see another car parked diagonal into my car. I had to wait and wait for the owners to come out. Turns out the owner can remove the key without putting the vehicle in park, so she never puts it in park, it rolled 2 rows to hit my car.

At our local Wal-mart there have actually been smart cars that parked in the cart corrals. I don't get how they got out of the car though, like without totally ruining the paint job. Wouldn't you have to crawl out of your window to pull that off?
