WR AW: Flower sash!

The Etsy designer finally finished my matching sash and hair piece.  The color perfectly matches my shoes.

What do you think?  I'm debating removing the pearls and putting a family broach in the center of the sash flower.

Thanks!  I had tried one on with my dress at the store, but they wanted $450 for it!!!  So I found one on Etsy I liked better, they made it the exact color of my shoes, and I paid less than $80 for both the sash AND a matching hair piece.

Nice! I got my veil from Etsy.  There was no way I was going to pay $200+ for something I was going to wear at the most 45 minutes.

It's very pretty! Love it! And what a great price for it too, I would have never paid $400!

Thanks ladies!  Yeah, I was NOT going to spend $450 on that!  I was willing to go up to $100, but thrilled that I got the sash and hairpiece combined for less.

Crown, I had the same idea for veils, but my Mom bought the one that they put on me at the bridal salon.  A total splurge, but she wouldn't hear otherwise.  And I do really love that veil!

I hear you about mothers.  Mine was determined to get the one at the store but I said no and then told her about Etsy becuase I knew she would have gone back and gotten it.  She was shocked something like that existed.  She of course then had to google it and call me to tell me they had pretty things.  Oh it is so hard to raise parents.  HAA

Ha! My Mom is pretty 'hip' and already knew about Etsy.  She is also incredibly talented at making things, very crafty.  However, with a few things, she just likes spoiling me.  With my shoes, I sent her a picture of the ones I had seen at Nordstrom and said, "But these are too expensive, so if you see any shoes similar to this style, let me know so I can buy them!"  Three days later, the very expensive (for me... I don't usually spend over $40 for shoes except running sneakers) shoes showed up in a box on my front door.  My Mom goes, "Well, I saw them, they were perfect, so I bought them!"  Same goes for the veil - she said, "It'll be made of the same lace as the dress, dyed in the same batch, and it's perfect.  I'm buying it."  And that was that!

My mom did that with the toasting glasses and the cake cutting set.  I was just going to get plain ones and she decided that we needed special ones.

My mom is not all crafty or a baker.  Great cook but just not a baker.  As a matte of fact it is a running joke in our house about her cookies being square.  I have to say I got her baking and crafty skills.  Now if you want someone to shop with she is your girl.  That is something that I also got from her.

It's gorgeous! My mom was the same way about wedding things. I would be looking at things and they would be out of my budget and she would get them anyway.

What a soft & pretty color. I like the idea of a broach instead. I'm adding one to my sash as well. :)
