Military Brides

Military groomsmen and non-military groomsmen

Ok, so my fiance is in the Army and 4 out of the 6 groomsmen are in one branch of the military or the other and will be wearing the dress suits. My 2 brothers will be in the wedding party and they are NOT in the military. What should they wear? It is a casual garden-esque wedding, and yellow is the color. I was thinking a grey suit. Is this silly??? SUGGESTIONS PLEEEEEASE!

Grey and yellow go very well together. I think that sounds beautiful. However, if you are going for casual then suits and military dress suits would be overdressed IMO.
the first thought that came to my head when I heard causal garden was tan pants and a white button up - no tie.

As much as I want it to be casual, it isn't completely because of the location. And in keeping a budget, they already have their dress suits soooooo I kinda wanted to do that.

My bridesmaids are picking whatever dresses they want, so long as it's light yellow. However, my sister in law (MOH) wants a long dress because she hates her legs and now looking at pictures, will it look silly to have long and short dresses mixed??? ughhh!!

    So many issues haha HELP!!

Oooh I originally wanted my fiance and the groomsmen to wear grey suits, since we're having a garden wedding and our color is also yellow:) I agree with shan, the military uniforms are super dressy, so it might not look right w the more casual grey suit. Maybe your brothers could wear black suits?

My MOH is wearing her AF Mess Dress, and my BMs are allowed to pick any Navy dress they want as long as they all pick from the same designer. FI's side will have MC Dress Blues, probably an Airman, and tuxes.

I think it's going to look cool. Yours probably will too.

For my brothers wedding (he and wife are both army) everyone wore dress blues/white/class As. The non military wedding party members wore suits/dresses in the same color as Class As with red, white, blue ties/hair accessory. we're a huge military family and they got married right after returning from their deployements in Afghanistan-so it was the easiest thing to do.
IMO, the military formal wear is great. But I wouldn't want my none military wp members to stick out like sore thumbs. But, it is your wedding-what do you want to do??
