So about the job I've been interviewing for... I had a phone conversation with the CEO yesterday (he's in London) and he called me from his home phone and we spoke for around 45 minutes, so I figure that's a good sign! And I felt like the conversation went really well - I don't have recruiting experience directly, but everything else falls into place, and I don't think that's the biggest factor they're looking for anyway. I have a few skills and experiences that they hadn't expected and are a real benefit to the company (like being fluent in Spanish). So... anyway, it was a good conversation! And he said he'd confer with the US director (who I met with last week) and have him get in touch with me today. So I was expecting a call offering me the job...
I waited all day, no call. Tried to keep busy, kept getting more nervous. In the morning, I was 100% convinced I was going to get this job. I got an email around 1pm asking if we could chat late afternoon/early evening, and then about an hour ago he emailed asking if we could chat at 9:30pm, so now I'm getting more and more nervous. But I feel like he would have just emailed if I didn't get it, though, right? I feel like the only reason to call a candidate is because they're continuing on in the process or being offered the job. Right? RIGHT?!
Anyway, I'm nervous as heck and just waiting!!!! Send me good vibes, please!!!
