Happy Hump Day!

We're halfway to the weekend! That's about my only happy thought this morning. I woke up with a killer headache, and I already know it's going to be a painfully long day at work. How are you ladies this morning? Anything good to share?

Ehh.. nothing too much going on in my neck of the woods. Just another day at work here. I'm hoping to make today a good day, but we'll see how that goes, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night so I'm kind of grumpy this morning.

So I am happy because I FINISHED my paper and posted it last night.  Here is hoping for a ok grade so I can move on to the last class of my degree program.  All I need is a C.

I didn't get much sleep last night either.  I woke up on each hour.  BLAH!

Sami - I'm sorry, but I serious LOL'd that you had a dream with Kendall in it. Did she talk in vague FB statuses?

I haven't seen the sun for the past 3 days.... I need to find time to take a lunch instead of eating at my desk. =(

It was a little cooler here for the last week, but it's warming up again. I feel better because we have presents under the tree, but still no warm holiday glow.

I'm more than a little pissed that my Mom's Christmas present seems to have been lost in the mail, but everyone at the post office is being really helpful, and our postman even stopped by today to ask if we'd found out where it was. So I'm not pissed at them, just at the situation, and I know it's got to be somewhere.

I also need some MB back-up with FI's family on the subject of eloping. Yes it would be easier, yes it would mean he gets paid a little more and I get better insurance, and it would make moving easier, but it's not what either of us want. We had a long talk before we ever were engaged, about the fact that it's important to me to get married in the Catholic Church, and because of that there are a few rules and regulations that come into play. I don't want to go to the JOP and then have a pretend wedding/reception. I don't want to have to go through all the paperwork of a convalidation and then have it possibly not approved. And more than all of that, my FI and I both want to stand up in front of our friends and family and do this.

It looks like, depending on how long FI's training for this new job is, that we're going to try to set a date for right after Easter anyways, and that's just under five months. He can't get married during training anyway (or at least can't take time off), and we don't have the time or want to spend the money to go to Vegas before we have to move. Yes, it would be easier were we married, but I'm okay with taking the hard road for a little while, and I'm sure there will be harder things to come, so we might as well deal with this. So we're going to have the wedding we can afford, on a good timeline, with the people we love. And, while I like his grandmother, I'm not going to just give up everything for an extra few hundred a month.

In case anyone is wondering, I know how to get candle wax out of the carpet!! I spent my evening with an iron and a roll of paper towels and the carpet. Haha Now you can only see it if you know what you are looking for. Hoping the landlord doesn't know what she is looking for when I move out.

I have a pretty busy day at work today.... which is good because it makes the day go by a lot faster. And I am one day closer to seeing my FI.... and eating cake!

    Hi Ladies,
It is raining here right now. Rain, not snow. It's WI and winter and there is no snow. I'm kinda upset about that. Otherwise, I didn't want to wake up, I just wanted to stay curled up with Winston. He got anew toy yesterday and he slept with it. It was very cute.

In case anyone is wondering, my Best Friend is going to visit me for my graduation on Sunday and her boyfriend is asking her to marry him. I kinda want it to be while they are both here. I have  aplan to take them to the Mississippi River and see the Chirstmas lights.

I had terrible dreams last night.  It was like weird SciFi shiit too!! and KENDALL WAS IN IT!!!!  I also woke up really stuffy and took a hot shower and just stood in the shower like "Ahhhhh"  Now I'm drying my hair and getting ready for my day.  I get to babysit the most adorable little girl in the world for a few hours today!!

Hey ladies! I've been very productive today getting my house clean. FI has been back in WI on holiday leave since Saturday, so I'm trying to get a ton done before I head to WI. Right now I'm doing laundry, and picking up (FI leaves his clothes and shoes everywhere grrr). Tonight after work is dishes and packing! I'm so excited to be back in WI. Lots of family to see, and lots of fun wedding stuff to do (food tasting, e-pics, picking out tuxes and having the guy fitted, meeting with a woman who is doing my flower-shaped cookie centerpieces)! Sami- any dream with Kendall would be scary to me!

Tomorrow is my birthday, so we're having FI's fabulous seafood gumbo for dinner tonight (it's better as leftovers, and the recipe makes a huge batch, so we can enjoy it the rest of the week).

On Friday, I'm leaving at 5pm and taking a flight back up north to visit my family!  Very excited!  I'm extra happy because we found some friends to watch Sasha, so I don't have to worry about her freaking out in a kennel.  She probably won't even miss us, which is great.  My parents are taking me out for a nice birthday dinner on Saturday, and I'll have Christmas presents to carry back to Miami after.  Along with my favorite pizza!!!

    Hello! :)

I just got done with finals today and tomorrow's the last day of work for the semester...unless I decide to get a holiday job...but I'm so happy! :D
The evil roommate finally left although it cost us a sandwich maker, the broom and a perfectly good bottle of Vodka. :/ Seriously, I don't think I've ever met such a vile, cowardly, low-down scum-type of person in my life...BUT I digress...because she's gone and I'll be home soon with my SO who gets to come home for the holidays. :) NOTHING can ruin that happy feeling. We finally decided on spending Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with his family and New Years is still up in the air...but we'll be together for sure. :)

I wish it would stop being so unusually warm here...but that's Texas for ya.

Calindi: HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!! (just in case I'm not on tomorrow) :D
Gumbo sounds so good right now...I can't wait to be home with SO's family. His meemaw makes some of the best gumbo ever. :)

Sami: SUPER SAD FACE...dreams with Kendall sound terrifying.

Amanda: I miss the sun too....it's been so cloudy and rainy here :/ this weather always puts me in a funk.

I just want to be home in bed right now...my mind's already there so all I need is for it to be 5pm already.

I do believe that you ex roommate is my exroommate. She stole my Vodka too!  . Her and her deadbeat xBF drank all my alcohol whenever I would buy it so it was fitting she would down it off before I left.

Oh it wasn't that she just stole it....she filled the bottle with water so we wouldn't figure it out right away and that, is why she is scum. She knows what she did though and isn't replying to any of my texts, e-mails, or FB messages.

Wow... now that's sleezy!  She didn't even have the decency to pretend she thought it was hers.  Like my former roommate who stole my $150 vaccum cleaner right in front of me.  It was either let her take it or get into a fist fight, and she easily had 60 pounds on me and FI was at OCS at the time.  Wish he was there, cuz I would still have that vaccum cleaner...

Roommates suck.  Am I the only one glad I never plan to have one ever again now that I have FI?

Cal - That is the reason I am paying more to live in my one-bedroom apartment than living with a roommate which would be loads cheaper.

I wish I could have been here when she was moving her ish out. Honestly she waited until we were out of the house for a couple of hours to come by for her stuff. :/ It really ticked me off too because I wanted to confront her about a number of things and I didn't get to since she's so afraid of confrontation. I then found out that she had been stirring up drama on facebook of all places...it was just sad. I can't wait until boyfriend comes home and we can live together again. I'm so done with living with other college girls. This situation left such a bad taste when it comes to living with other people.
