TGIF and Congratulations to Marine Wives

You might be wondering why I am congratulating Marine Wives.

Well, I was following a car this morning and it said "Marine Wives automatically go to Heaven." So congrats. ;-) I wonder if Navy wives go to heaven?

TGIF everyone! What are your weekend plans?

    What about CG wives???

Ugh I feel like I'm getting a chest cold, which sucks because I'm trying to get off my asthma meds and this just makes it worse I think. And we're flying to Boston for a wedding tomorrow. So no rest for the weary. My boss in out of the country on business, so I'm going to get my critical work done and call it a day at lunchtime.

Well this Army wife has already stamped her ticket to "the hot place" so I know I won't be going. HAA!!!!

I am running a 5k tomorrow.  I am hoping I don't fall out since I have done NO training and basically stopped running.  It was too hot.  HAA Then watching a little bit of football on Saturday.  On Sunday I am working with the girls I advise and celebrating Founder's Day for my sorority.

I have to work today. I get to present my project desgin to the developers today. Which I will be so happy when this is out of my hands.

It just dawned on me that there could be an end to the long distance between FI and I when I graduate. Which makes me happy. I need to bite the bullet and start looking for jobs, because I NEED to get a job before I graduate...and the economy isn't as booming in Florida as it is in Oklahoma..SOOO Keep me in your T&Ps.

I plan to have a pretty lazy weekend... I have to take my car to the shop to get it fixed there is a "cylinder misfire" .......I have no idea what that means, but it sounds pretty bad. Luckily it is probably under warrenty.

Yeah, what about Navy wives? haha

FI is coming up today; I'm super stoked because I haven't seen him for a few weeks. One of my dear friends is getting married tomorrow, so we're going to her wedding (as ftl said, yay for going to weddings while planning your own!) :D

Sunday we'll go to Church like we normally do. He'll leave Sunday evening.

Tomorrow morning I'm not sure what we're doing; tonight I don't know either, depends on what time he gets here; I'm just glad I get to have time with him, I couldn't care less about what we do :)

I hope you all have great weekends!

Irish- I hope you feel better; I'd definitely do the airborne thing before flying if you're already feeling cruddy :(

crown- lol to "the hot place"! GL at your 5k tomorrow; I used to do XC in high school, but I much prefer interval running or weight training now!

Thanks!  I used to run a lot and for some reason I just stopped.  I did a 1/2 in Oct and a 1/2 in Feb of this year.  I am not sure what happened.  Oh the heat.  HAA

Have fun with FI.  I am sure that you will!

And I third the Navy wives question!
We don't really have much planned for this weekend, I'm going riding again today after work. Tomorrow FI and his best man and I are going to go look at tux's (any advice on what I'm actually looking for would be amazing!) I really want to go to a flea market this weekend - I'm on the hunt for some wooden framed, windows. (the old kind - for both wedding decor and for our house). I do want to drive around the area where our church that we are getting married in is at for RD places. But other than that we have church on Sunday and I need to do some cleaning around the house - the carpets need a good cleaning and so do the bathrooms.

Yeah, we went to get my oil changed this morning and there was a van in front of us with a full window of "Air Force Wives Are The Best" and "Military Kids Rock!" It seriously covered the window to the point of being a hazard. FI just said that that's a divorcin' offense.
This weekend the dog and I are headed up to MS to see my Mom one more time before she flies back to Utah and FI and the cat are having a men's weekend here.

As for my funny this week:

FI and I both love Ron Swanson a great deal.

Aww. The image of a horse with a drunk driver is painted in my head! bahaha. hilarious. FSIL actually used to ride pasos and Erik would get on them - it was more or less his sister would torture him (she had him get on her mare backwards and slapped the horse with him on her - she bucked and threw him off lol!) but he'll go ride if I want him to - he just sits there. LOL. And that's wonderful! I would love living on a farm like that! (ps - I haven't seen 1 indoor arena here yet - except the equestrian center :( it makes me want to move back to VA badly - not to mention anything horse related is insanely expensive!)
Nope - FI doesn't want to wear his dress uniform or any uniform for that matter. He wants a tux so that's what he's wearing (although I thought it would look amazing having him in uniform and his best man in uniform - but I lost that battle) Oh well. He didn't pick my dress so I let him pick if he wanted to wear it or not.

Didn't you know this?! (my dad is retired navy) lol. But I agree completely - those stickers drive me crazyyyy! Esp when they take up the entire car! I have two magnets that I randomly put on and our sticker people but that's it. I refuse to put the whole 'Navy wife, toughest job in the fleet' - I HATE that sticker.

Crown-Good luck on the 5k!  I'm sure you'll do fine :)  I hope the weather is nice for you, because it is going to be pretty poopy here!

Irish-I hope you feel better!  That sounds like no fun.

I finished my last tests for two classes this semester.  So I have three weeks off, five weeks of one class and then I am done.  It feels so good to breathe and not constantly have the thought of school on the back of my brain.  For three weeks at least.

FI is hunting all day Saturday and I have absolutely no plans.  I've done nothing with the wedding planning lately, so I may try to do some more in that area.

Sunday-FI and I are looking for wedding bands and registering.  We've decided to register at BB&B but I can't decide where else to go.  Then I have convinced him to go to Red Lobster for their Shrimp Fest!

    Happy Friday everyone Smile
